JB's question tells me that he was indifferent to the police ordering him to stop. It's interesting that he thought he could just walk away from the police without any consequences.
Blake was handcuffed to his hospital bed because of an outstanding warrant. They took the handcuffs off today.

Instead of hating on the police...why not instead...promote the family unit...so many blacks growing up have stability...stay out of gangs...crime...stop killing each other...stop taking drugs...stop all the thuggery and youth centre could work...give young people something productive to do and keep them off the streets...but the left turn a blind eye to real solutions...cause the don't really want black people to have stability in their lives and they love division...

I've just caught up with this thread again and thank all those that have contributed in a responsible manner
I look at the incident and yes I do agree about the police taking charge of a situation at that moment in time but they didn't. He got up and walked away ending up with 7 bullets in his back .Not 1 or 2 but 7.
Even on this thread you have division of opinion between American posters .
There is so much hate in the U.S and many other parts of the World for whatever reason at this moment in time. You have the 2nd amendment but from what I can see this is abused in so many ways. What country allows a 17 year old to walk the streets with a rifle and shoot people indiscriminately with the Police doing nothing and finally arresting him at home. His life is now in ruins as he probably faces life imprisonment. That is a travesty in itself.
Side stepping away from this case as of June 2020, there were 34 school shootings in the United States. 2018 had the highest number of school shootings since 1970, with 116 shootings. The right to carry arms is being abused in the hands of the wrong people.
I sincerely hope that we can heal all the wrongs in this World of ours and move forward as a united people but don't see it happening whilst the hate rages on.

I've watched several videos of the incident, have actually not formed an opinion as such as the suspect has never been tried or convicted of any crime to my knowledge ,so I am not here to judge the rights and wrongs of him or label him a scumbag or thug.
It is also not about the right to shoot a suspect who walks away from an"arrest"
My post was about the use of brute force to bring a man down and whether it was warranted.
