I don't care to much about money, in the pub I give many beers away to people I like, but people who never give something back, well, they can drop dead after a while. And I have a lot of love in me, I will give it all away to the woman who wants to have it. If she plays with my chimes, I'll give her a white Christmas.

I have been a generous person all my adult life. Ask any man who I was in a relationship with and he will tell you about the gifts and money I gave him all in the name of love. I'm no longer generous with men but when I come across a news article about someone who needs help or maybe a hug and a kind word I am right there to support them.
I came across a story this week about a little boy who wore a Mr. Stark costume to school for a Halloween party. He was bullied to the point that he rubbed the makeup off his face and ran out of school crying. His mother was called and she came to get him. She didn't take him home. She put makeup back on his face, fixed his costume and told him to go to the party and he did. There was no more bullying but Evan's mother thought it would be nice if people sent him a card with a kind word.
I bought him this Ironman cup and wrote a note addressing it to "Mr. Stark" and that I'm looking forward to seeing him as the new Ironman.
....if a homeless /starving person is looking though the window at me....eating a huge breakfast....i would stand up and take the plate to the window......to show him.....thenwalk back and enjoy the meal....... to me,thats a nice gesture.........

Thats commendable M. I volunteered several places before covid including a cancer center in Columbus. Now, volunteers are not allowed inside until they don’t have any covid patients in this hospital.

That’s great tru..Did you vomit your dinner in your socks before you put them on later on?
galrads: Are you generous with your time and money or anything else?
Do you give more in your relationships,
Do you give 10 percent or more of your income and time to your church or charities,
do you pay more than your share in taxes,
do you mow your neighbors lawn, clean their homes and do their laundry,
Do you or have you served your country,
do you put gas in your ex’s car and pay their mortgage or rent?
For me generosity starts with kindness. Being kind never hurt anyone. Noticing how people around us are doing and making time for them. That includes noticing how people who serve us in our local shops, banks etc, are as well as family and friends. I think it's important not to take people for granted. Because if you do it doesn't matter how much money you push around. I feel too self-conscious listing the acts of kindness I usually do for people. It's also not anyone's business

There are many way to volunteer Gal, not just the hospital. I would like to volunteer my time with the Wounded Warriors project but at this point in my life my health won't allow me to stand or walk for long periods of time. Eventually I will check with them to see if they need someone for administrative duties which would allow me to sit at a desk
galrads: I would agree with that. It is rae rare lately in the international forum unless a clique is active. I am finding out the blogs are different in this way.
