It’s no coincidence that the spotlight on alopecia coincides with the new Pfizer alopecia drug treatment .
Pfizer needed a big profile name and stage to highlight its new treatment & nothing could be bigger than the oscars .

Happygolucky4u: People only learn what they are open to learn. I am not sure how many will learn from his experiance. But if even one learns something good from this that is a good thing.
This is just how I feel about it. I wish he would of stood up sooner and made a better apology. And I wish he would of mention "seeking help for my issues" (which is really none of my business) It would of made me look at him more favorably. Comedians are famous for making jokes at other peoples expense. I do not feel like Chris ever dreamed it would go to that level. The way Chris has handled the whole thing has been an example on how to move on with your life even when it is not going like you would like. Kind of like my Mom use to tell me when I was in a bad area in my life. Keep putting one foot in front of the other. I do not like to see anything resolved with violence if there is any other way. And Will had lots of other ways. He actually in my eyes looked foolish walking up there and doing that.
I believe it was real but in Hollywood how would one really know?

Chris Rock is doing fine. His show Ticket prices were raised significantly so he will be able to go on slagging other people and become richer because of it. How is this right? Why are so many people allowing this bottom feeder to be treated like royalty when he has been doing this to many people, and this time he did it at one of the most public venues in hollywood. I think its sad that the perp is not only getting away with sick behavior, he is actually being applauded and treated like he is the victim.

I could not begin to tell you why this is ok for comedians. 
They do it they all do it that I have heard. And I have heard plenty of them. Would I tell myself to calm down
I would not have to. I am not that thin skinned nor do I really care what people say or think about me. Why would I? I must say tho you have given me a laugh over the thought of me letting something like that bother me. No one controls how I think or feel but me. And I will not hand that power over. It does not show strength it shows weakness. We see life differently and that is fine also

I feel for Chris Rock who did the right thing. I cant imagine watching all out fighting over a roast which is a bigger part of the award ceremony. Why would the oscars stage violence on live tv at a celebrity recognition and roasting event. I think there's been huge over reaction to what he did. He didn't murder anyone. He acted impulsively slapped Chris Rock for insulting his wife of course it was out of order but its not a murder. But the "holier than thou brigade" came out in force and Chris Rock could have stepped in and defused the whole thing but he didn't because he probably is jealous of Wil Smiths success and talent and that's why he caused the whole situation to begin with .

secretagent09: It saddens me to say that Will Smith resigned from the Motion Picture Academy. The reason I am sad is because he is such a good actor and I will miss his movies. In one brief moment he sabotaged his career.
If only he had sat in that chair and stewed about what Chris Rock said and then vented and showed his anger when he was out of the theatre.
