Decent_Love: What is the worst thing happened in your life?
Bad enough. When I see how precious people are today it burns me like the sun but I can face the day by drawing almost exclusively from where I came from. History knows im not alone.

Worst thing I ever did was lift a Batman motorbike I had bought for my son out of its delivery box. When I did that i popped a hiatal hernia because it was so heavy. That hernia made me very sick for years until i eventually had to have a surgery to fix it.
My best friend died when we were in our mid to late 20's (27 & 28). I've been through many other terrible events, but this one is still the very worst.
If one is alive, can walk, can talk and can think, then nothing too bad happened to them. Every sorrow and pain can be dealt with. These are the things that make us who we are today. Nothing to complain but strive and thrive...
Many things happen to others but we say they happened to us. Because our lives were affected in some way and we had to cope with the concequences, and yet we are the ones that are still here and they are not.

Depends on the circumstances Ten. We can NEVER feel the pain of others ,just try to understand the depth of their continued suffering .
Losing a loved one at whatever age is soul destroying for some people .

Losing people is part of life. Everyone has lost somebody loved or nearly lost them and I'm no exception to that. We tend to be selfish wanting people who suffer, to stay, when knowing the best for them is to go. It's about what impact it has on US isn't it?! Our souls are stronger than we give them credit for. It's our own weakness that make us feel sorry for ourselves. There are people who live in a literal hell every single day. Sometimes we should be humble in our own suffering...knowing that somebody, somewhere has it much worse than we do.

Which is what I was referring to.
You can't understand someone until you've walked a mile in their shoes.
Decent_Love: Something bad happens in every person's life. Some sorrows disappear with time, but some sorrows last for a lifetime.
Yes, it depends on how long one wants to hold on to it... I know why many are disagreeing with me, and that's fine. I'd rather transform a sorrow into a loving energy that will allow me to move on from it. And not feel sorry for myself for the rest of my life.

If everyone could erase bad and traumatic memories at will there would be no such thing as PTSD. To have such control over your mind is s big ask.
