I'm supposed to what, feel something here, like shame and guilt and empathy, for foreign military aged men, crossing the English channel from France in inadequate crafts, that they sometimes puncture themselves and drown or live and complain about their accomodations and the system they landed in, to conquer and the people, they mean to replace? I used to travel a bit--I've been across the United States twice; once by car and once by airplane. The auto trip was awesome, the air trip was exhausting because of many lay-overs and transfers. I've been to Canada once, and only just across the Idaho border. It was beautiful, I must say. I used to drive from Portland to San Francisco in one day, also to Reno. Took many trips by plane to Reno, and one to Las Vegas. Now, I'm content to stay within about a thirty mile radius. 
I love to travel 
Seeing new places and new things. Learning new things. Funny thing is I am more comfortable away from people. In the barren areas. Deserted beaches, to out in the swamps. Yet when I travel I also enjoy looking out to the hustle and bustle of the big cities. My father traveled alot and would take me with him sometimes. I liked to read and to this day I remember something he told me and it was so true. "Put the book down" (dad we have traveled this road many a time I whined) " No matter how often you go down a road if you look you will see something you have never seen before" 
I got the love of travel from him.
