It's an interesting subject, one that many people dismiss instantly without doing any kind of research. The fact is, the evidence to point to some form of continuum after death is irrefutable. There are just too many verified accounts of people, mainly children, giving accurate accounts and description of previous lives to simply ignore. I remember one person who has spent most of his life examining hundreds of these cases saying, if this was brought before a court, the jury would have no choice other than found proven beyond any reasonable doubt.
Apart from prior life accounts, near death experiences, of which there are countless numbers, provide compelling evidence of phenomena that just cannot be explained.
Of course, at this time, no one can be 100% sure of the answer, but who knows, maybe we will all find out in due course....

But reincarnation does, for those who go into the false light and just get lured into it, then they get recycled and come back again and again and again.
The aim is NOT to go into the light and choose the other exit.

Apart from that, karma means 'action.' The law of karma states, for every action, there is a reaction. Even in 1500bc when the laws of karma were written into the Rig Veda, the laws of physics were understood by very early scholars.

I think creating an aversion to life of sufferings is Ok, however in direct consequence of becoming a very disturbed person during my active service in Vietnam I eventually cracked up. sitting on a beach at my wits end, fortuitously I met a couple of international travelers who suggested I purchase a millage airline ticket and they then explained how to travel across Pacific, Asia, Europe and America on the cheap, which I did three times round and round.During that time i met a lot of good people including Tibetan refugees in India and Nepal. When I turned up here in Australia and sought work picking fruit the first picker that appeared was a Tibetan, Karma, the causes.

The Tibetans philosophy has it's basses of understanding "the philosophy" that is passed on by qualified guides, qualified teachers, utilizing explanations and debate.
We mere students using our human enhanced ability to engage in a thought process using logic and reason by finding understanding of the essences of the subject matter in turn leads to more positive out comes etc etc.
The philosophy is not based on faith, highly recommend Deer Park Buddhist Center in Oregon, Wisconsin. I attended teaching given by Geshe Sopa Rinpoche at Chenrezig Institute here in Australia on occasion Geshe (donate title a degree, a qualified teacher) (Rinpoche explains he has proven from his own side that he is the continuous mindstream of teacher in past life) Chenrezig Institute here in Australia. Like Dalai Lama fourteenth continuous mindstream of person named Dalai Lama.
