The "plan" seems to be that trust is a must. Also communication and true personalities are pluses too. How many "true personalities" are willing to overcome the humps amd bumps of this? That is where the strength of character and self comes in. I never had one, but I would like to try though just to see if one could work. I have heard of them working and not working, so I have to find out for myself.

I've done the long distance relationship. It can work if both are willing to make it work, just like any other relationship. I would eventually want either him to move and be near me or I would move and be near him.

I'm afraid i have been there/done that....and not willing to put myself in that position again...
And it wasn't that we both did not want it to work...and not that we both did not try....some things just could not past the "distance" thing...
So in all fairness i decided that i don't want to date my computer, have a physical relationship with my webcam, my phone or any other such device....and therefore steer clear of "long distance" relationships...

and your passport alow you to enter the country of your Love without obtaining a Visa first,
and you have relatives to leave your kids with while you are away
