Israel soaked this up and finally said,,,enough is enough and retaliated.
Now if you are up on your news, Hamas wanted Israel to commit to a ground war ,,,,and that is what is happening now. But Israel knows it can not or would have a hard time with city Guerrilla warfare.
So,,,presently they are splitting up the city aka supply routes to keep the rockets and mortars from being sent to Israel.

The key to stopping the aggresive nature in he area is stop military aid, but it's the aame anywhere, there are groups pro and against in any conflict in any region.
I could give lots of examples, but that is pointless as people won't even listen or pay attention anyway.
The key is the "will" of the powers that be to be willing and use this cosh to tell all insundry that we shall and will not tollerate this situation any longer.
My suggestions.
To OPEC, RIIF, CFR, TAVISTOCK and everyone else, time to adopt a policy of either financilly coercing the Jewish state into making them behave or face the International Community expelling them from the UN.
Then let any private donors like say the Rothschilds support the state.....and not the American taxpayer, like so many others.
Then tell the Arabs, coexist peacefully or the UN will send a internationally made up army and disarm every individial in the middle east, at gunpoint.
If there is is any local terrorism, instigated by any foriegn nation they will face punitive measures from the world community.
That is what the UN is for, now let's make sure that it isn't undermined as done previously.

Your comments are appreciated though and I will give them some thought. But I do think it is better to deal with the officials running around today that are going over to the Middleast, Condaliza and also the Arab and other foreign leaders, most of whom aren't Jewish anyway. Can they all do any better than Kissinger or Albright to acheive a positive outcome. If you feel that it was a religion issue, then these 2 Jews would have wanted peace to happen so not one more Jewish life would be lost in Israel or anywhere in the world for that matter, especially considering the wholesale free slaughter of the Jews of WW2. I didn't want to bring up WW2 but only would do so as a reason why these leaders would want to have a peace. So I don't buy into the religion issue with Kissinger and Albright as a reason that the peace couldn't happen. One can always use the religion or a race card when something doesn't work out they way they want it. It really shouldn't matter one bit what the religion or the skin color of various ethnic negotiators are and I doubt it really mattered then(except to the arabs)....just whether today they can do a better job of working with the leaders of Hamas and Israel that are in power now. Would anyone else have made a difference back then to bring peace beside the efforts of Kissinger or Albright if they weren't Jewish? I really doubt it! That is truly why I'm not giving alot of thought to the old commentaries and wish to stick with what is going on today. As you know, many of the Israelis are also black Jews of Ethiopian decent by birth as a direct descendant of Solomon and Bathsheba. Another generation of lives has passed and passed away already on both sides. No telling if someone of those that died would have been the person or persons or their offspring in a future generation that would have figured out how to bring peace to the region. Hamas has enshrined in it's beliefs the following two articles.
1: The annihilation of Israel.
2: The adaptation of Koranic Law to run the country.
In the first instance, Israel is the West. Waging armed attack on Israel is equivalent to attacking the West.
Western society is secular. All of our political system abide by differentiating between Church, (or Religion), and State.
We all want to see a Free Independant and DEMOCRATIC palestine for the palestinian people....
but with Hamas ruling it, that becomes, and is a direct threat to the security and freedom of all other societies in the area who have chosen democracy to rule by.
Be they Arab, Western, Catholic or Muslim.

An EU delegation led by Commissioner Solana and made up of the three amabassadors fo France, Chech Rep. and Sweden are flying out for talks.
It is also reported that a Hamas delegation has accepted the Egyptian invitation for talks in Cairo.
Meantime, French President Nicolas Sarkosy will today arrive in Cairo for talks, before embarking on a tour that will take him to Israel, Lebanon and Damascus in Syria, where he is expected to meet President Assan.
Meantime, the border between Egypt and Gaza remains closed in Rafa.
Ambulances are driving the wounded to the border where they are then being transferred to Egyptian hospitals, but no supplies of any kind are being allowed to go trough.
Russia has also started it's own diplomatic effort and President Mediedev has set up a Task Force to get into action to try and negotiate some form of cease fire in the area.
It is unfortunate to note however, that Israel has declined Russia's invitation. Diplomatic relations between the two countries are however defined as excellent by both parties.
Russia's intervention is crucial to any form of accord in the Middle east, one, due to the country having more then 25,000,000 muslims within it's own borders, and also because of the influence that Russia has on Iran.
later on today we should see the UN Security Council meeting once again on the matter. It is unfortunate however, that there is a veto being presently imposed by the US which is making the Secuirty Council ineffective in this matter.

It said that the Palestinian guards on the other side of the gate who are responsible for the opening of the gates have abandoned their posts. What are the Palestinians doing to get the supplies in if they are not there to open the gates? The Israelis have allowed the humanitarian supplies to go in but there is no one to allow them in. I'm a bit confused on this one here. Perhaps Hamas leaders have some type of idea in mind for which of his soldiers or which one of them should be going to the gate to let the supplies in?

It is an orchestrated effort if you notice......when the thread starts heading in other directions then the one talking about the killing and the blood......
the op suddenly appears from nowhere to restart the argument about what crimes are being committed against the Palestinians...
and then disappears again.
It seems that this whole damn war has been meant for that one purpose....to make Israel attack so the whole world could see what criminals they are and what they are doing to the palestinians....
It seems like a manipulated scheme by Hamas to get the attention of the entire planet focused on the carnage that is taking place.
