Farewell

Oh, I dread farewell long before it is bade,
It is felt as a sting, shows as mark on the face,
Feels as pain in the eyes, in the quiver of voice,
Oh, I dread farewell, wish we never have met.

If we meet any time I shall stop on my way
And pretend I am well, make a showy display.
Ask about your life, show a real concern,
You may think with regret I have come to myself.

After parting with you I will stop for a while
To recover my breath, to consider awhile,
Check myself on the point not to follow your steps,
Oh, I dread farewell long before it is bade.

Thank you, my dear poets, for your appreciation. These are just my first steps and you were the ones who gave me inspiration to do what I have never done in my whole life. Thank you all for your beautiful poems I enjoy so much! Life is beautiful, isn't it?

Hi Marikia.....it took ages for me to post, and anyone who takes that step is brave...
We've all been hurt in love this way, and it doesn't help whatever is said, it never makes the outcome any easier...but you have real talent...don't give up ever....

No, I promise I won't. It has become like obsession - I walk and compose verses. As to talent - that's too much. Thank you Niah for your inspirational words.

You ARE a real poet, it's lovely. It's odd how we are all afriad of tomorrow, of what it may bring.

Good oldies - following Cafe's steps. This is the first poem I posted on this Corner. And I've stayed here since then. Never thought I would become so attached to it. There is something like a magnet that keeps attracting me here. My first ever effort dedicated to you, dearest poets! wine bouquet

This is fabulous sweet marikia. Waiting
for your book to come out. One of the
most beautiful poems I've ever read. You're in a class all by yourself. There
is no farewell here, but Hello hello.

Marikia - I'm so happy to read one of your poems. Thank you so much for re-sharing. I know I could go to each persons name and read all there poems - but don't have the time to do that!

Thank you, my dear poets, for your warm comments on my first effort. I started with my own ones, translation came later when I ran out of some requisite ingredient needed, 'something to say', which is OK with me and the world, cause I could do with translating and sharing, and writing comments. The main thing is to be coming home and being present at the party in Castle! I could post some more oldies, if I may, one at a time. Wish you abounded in that requisite 'something to say' I mentioned above! cheers bouquet
