so your gentle light shineth
a house upon life's rocky shoals
a candle flame in window lit
the beam of you flash to night

how my dark thoughts brightened
by gazing upon warm countenance
bright is my spirit when in you
i dwell alight flickering warm

soft and ardent 'mid darkened storm
illumine feelings faintly promising
time together to shine anew
with each seen hope as sparkling

the tender tinder fires burn
while in our hearts we do yearn
for gentle days in gentle ways
within radiant light to so adjourn

beaming out all do carry on
to bring warmth of heart to any
yule house alight in this night
seasons light fills darkness empty
