Once was to be a Tribute

How sad it is to find a poem
Of a life that was so different
Seems like a lifetime, long ago
When those words were written

Wrote those words in tribute to
Twenty years of marriage
Thought there'd be twenty more
And many more past them

What a fool, how blind I was
I chose not to see it
There it was in front of me
So blind, I was an idiot

The finger pointed
The sign was there
People tried to tell me
But I just didn't listen

So here you are
You can take those years
And live life your way
Because I just don't care

Maybe, we just need to look at the good things that came from this relationship, be thankful that we had them and look forward to the many good things in our future (maybe) kiss
