A Wet Kiss

It was going to happen
As soft as the breeze
Blew that gentle eve
When eyes drew close
Our lips quivered too
How close we could meet
Touching your face
Feeling your embrace
Two bodies in one space
Did not notice the rain
Falling down on us
Soaking our clothes wet
Our kiss didn’t care
It was neither aware
That the club had closed
As people walked by
All anyone could do was
Stare at You and I
