I'm sorry for your loss Nu.... Most hardworking folks I've ever known, the Germans. The other thing about them I learnt to appreciate is their sense of loyalty (as friends)...and their sense of humour. I thought I've disgraced my friend while boarding on a German Wings flight. I never checked they actually issue seating allocations. I was thinking Easyjet...so I sat on someone else's seat. We were about to take off when the owner came to claim his seat. My seat was the one behind, by the window. My friend thought he could take the window seat from me; without thinking I grabbed him by his collar and very loudly said..."no Mister, you're not taking my seat". You could hear a pin drop for a few seconds...I went purple red...then suddenly the whole plane burst into laughter, some even clapped! My friend later explained: "they think it's funny..you must have forgotten this is a patriarchal society" he said in a very nice way. Nu I am sure you will think of your father-figure friend Kurt and the good times you've had!
