POEM FOR PHIL ON HIS BIRTHDAY

Universal Father, Thank you for showing
Your creation, a good human being
Bless Phil, his wonderful virtues shining
His pieces of poetry are gems sparkling
His exemplary kindness truly inspiring
Too unselfish, so caring and giving
Almost saintly, generous and loving
Making memories for us, he"s endearing
Like an angel guide fully protecting
Exemplary patience, courage fascinating
His humility, we'll be remembering
Protect him Lord with your continuous blessing
A grace, a gift to the world for your keeping!

It is my honor to present this beautiful poem authored by my best friend of 35 years Tess, who lives in CH and with whom I have stayed with on the Chateau of our great poet here, our beloved Requiny (Phil)in France.

His generosity is so remarkable and his hospitality unequaled. A most memorable experience we had. Can't wait for you guys to come to the US.

Thank you so much Kathy for your greetings to a very wonderful person. We are so blessed to have met and stayed with him in his beautiful and elegant Chateau. More beautiful than a five star hotel. We were so generously treated with so much joys and hospitality. In my travels, this is one most memorable.

I know it's overwhelming for you my dear Phil as humility is your trademark, the unnoticed giver but we can't help, so I'm sorry to have violated your cardinal rule but this is for us to thank God for you.

So for now please forgive me for publishing it, but again, may you have a lot more and next year, we'll be there.
