Kabul's new dawn

Like a pack of cards its folding
scenes like the last days in Vietnam
helicopters flying the staff out
while the Taliban
roll through the streets
US reinforcements will be too late
the games up, the day is done
Afghanistan will be back
in the dark ages
God help the women
the educated
the free thinkers
life now under a rabble
of backward clerics
and armed goat herders

A Poem of stark truth Ocean.
The Taliban have nothing to stop them now. I wonder who's funding them.

Regards Mick.

ocean. I constantly followed the development of events there ... this is due to my work too. Afghanistan ranks first in the world in the production and export of hard drugs ... we are talking about many billions of dollars. The drug business is completely in the hands of the Taliban. So no matter where they get their weapons, given their financial capabilities they can buy it anywhere Americans tried to fight this for many years, but lost, just like in Vietnam. very sad...

It would be ironic if it was Russia because they fought a war there as well and lost - it financial drained them. Praying for the women and children.

Of course Russia is in the play here with arming all these extreme Middle Eastern countries... can count in China too perhaps... but Russia has had its fingers dipped in arming Iran with nuclear.... But it is illogical for a foreign country to do its self defence for them civilians and govt... for even with young in the animal world... there's always that time to leave the nest and fend for yourself even if within a pack... the handfeeding stops at some point .... If they cant love their country enough to defend it... nobody outside can do it ... If they couldn't learn and step up even while the Americans and other allies were there ... when will they grow out of their diapers?
