I believe jazzy knew No. 4 - cowhide , though caroljoyce answered 'to hide cows' which is about as direct an answer as one should expect from any witch...and sorry carol, lesser is incorrect (though I think that you are merely toying with me) that leaves 1,2,3,5,and 6 unsolved...

Andrew, you did good, credit where due.
He will never admit I got 6, he will mumble lengthily about why it isn't in such I way as I don't understand anyway. But I know the truth.
Makes as much sense as Middlewards not being the right answer.
