... rob solved No. 7 - David I believe jazzy knew No. 4 - cowhide , though caroljoyce answered 'to hide cows' which is about as direct an answer as one should expect from any witch...and sorry carol, lesser is incorrect (though I think that you are merely toying with me) that leaves 1,2,3,5,and 6 unsolved...

Now come off it, Hedi..there is NOWAY lesser can be incorrect. You just did not expect us to be bright enough to know the answer.
hedistuffOPLayopolis, West Virginia USAAug 13, 2010
caroljoyce...one would never see the words, caroljoyce, expectation, even remotely used together...taking two letters from smaller leaves us small...not less...er..at least I thought it did. ah, of course, from this moment on, all questions in life shall be answered A. correctly B. incorrectly C. caroljoycedly ....any of which would be acceptable...(whew!)
andrew149Southbourne, nr.Bournemouth, Dorset, England UKAug 13, 2010
2....None...... cos if you do it isn't empty anymore
hedistuffOPLayopolis, West Virginia USAAug 13, 2010

Having reflected, it's obvious Andrew is correct, well I am only a birdbrain, sorry. The answer to 6. Is : middlewards, is this not entirely correct?
Thanks x
caroljoyceManchester, Greater Manchester, England UKAug 13, 2010
Answer to 2. is; Nickeless.
Andrew, you did good, credit where due.
He will never admit I got 6, he will mumble lengthily about why it isn't in such I way as I don't understand anyway. But I know the truth.
hedistuffOPLayopolis, West Virginia USAAug 13, 2010
oh golly...first off, middlewards is INCORRECT. Andrew gave one of two correct responses to..nickels in a bank (as was noted earlier and caroljoyce knows the other answer). what in the world is NICKLESS? is this an ebonic spelling of someone's name whom you know? so we are left with questions 2 and 6 .
andrew149Southbourne, nr.Bournemouth, Dorset, England UKAug 13, 2010
Hmmmm.....maybe it might be easier in pounds and pence, instead of American coinage........

6. The only thing I can think of for the answer is: time.....
caroljoyceManchester, Greater Manchester, England UKAug 13, 2010

hedistuffOPLayopolis, West Virginia USAAug 13, 2010
answer to question 2. one ...after that, it is no longer empty
