Lucy

How can I say that sex with you was poison -
When it was some of the best I've ever had?
Sometimes two lover's hearts must swell with treason -
Maybe such sweet deceptions always sad.
Feelings of this kind must defy reason -
Like a hit of d**gs - the short term state is glad;
To blow our minds in this our sweet escape -
It seems the devil had both our souls to rape.

Two damaged hearts - and drinking - always drinking -
We drank the chalice to sublimate our pain;
Reason's out the window - lust is smirking -
And in the morning falls a bitter rain.
Then at it again - neither of us thinking -
We held each other in this our secret shame;
Our relationship in eighteen months went nowhere -
And desolation's angel hovered there.

What can I say that would ever make a dif'rence?
Who had the best of whom? - I c'not say.
Of lust this strong - intense as it is senseless -
Sometimes, two lovers - both must have their way.
Let's blow our minds - then look into the distance -
(And embrace again to cover our dismay)
For when "love" becomes affection's artifice -
When neither loves - then both must drown in vice.

T'was not so long ago, I heard you died,
Roughly three months ago (it was) so I
Thought that I'd extend this poem. (I could have cried
It was a shock, but I kept my eyes dry).
This life to you unhappiness supplied,
So I'd rage on your behalf up to the sky
For all of the injustice, and abuse
Done to you as a child, but what's the use?

S*xually abused when you were nine,
And by a distant uncle, in his teens
Which lay in your subconscious like a mine
To detonate, and blow away life's dreams.
When we first met, all of you seemed fine,
(But first impressions are never as they seem)
With you for about a year and a half
Though we couldn't save each other, or ourselves.

Still, we clung together, as two lost drunks
(The sex was good and I have no complaints)
From the start, our relationship was sunk
(I could cry, or howl, or yell;- invoke the saints,
And nothing could have helped with your blue funk).
Well angels (if they're any) they would faint
If they recalled (or saw) the damage done
And how your life was robbed of any fun.

I was with you for eighteen months, before
You moved away, to go live up the coast.
(Lucy never in your nature like a whore
And I don't of just another conquest boast).
If I met that c*nt, I'd even up the score,
Then they'd put me in jail (five years at most)
So I'll damn him in my verse here instead,
And Johnny, you'll be punished when you're dead.

Well Johnny, now I know that your a liar,
Who destroyed Lucy's life, then went your way
I know that you'll be burnt by Karmic Fire
And live in guilt, unto your dying day.
Dead ladies tell no tales, they don't require
That truth be told, but you'll suffer someday
In this life (or the next) and cast in flames
For what you once excused as childish games.

I won't go on much further - except to say -
Lucy, I don't know the details - how you died;
(All I can do is speak of my dismay
And write in lieu of tears I may have cried).
For posterity, I may record the day
We first met, now you have to death retired;-
The thirteenth of the seventh two thousand and two;-
I hope you're reborn in the next life high and new.

Poem for Megan

For seven years I've longed for your love,
That's deep and blue as the ocean's bliss -
As winged she flies - a lonely dove -
Through the storm's eye in search of your kiss;-
No longer I'll watch the empty cove,
And dying waves that beg for a tryst -
For times tide has washed away
Each lonely year and empty day.

Till what we have now - a ghost of the past-
Though it still proves that we can hold
A sweet memory that will always last
Against these years a love untold.
I give the spring flowers a final blast -
To thaw the ice of my heart so cold;-
But the loneliness grows - a velveteen moss -
To patina the years that we both have lost.

Still my soul's tempest will not subside
An hour with you and I'd feel whole again
Loneliness drowns in the ebb of your tide
When love's quick fire burns in my veins; -
From my heart's longing I never can hide-
Though the years apart have bound us like chains;-
Where once we loved with hearts that were true -
Now loves faded rose cannot bloom anew.

Vokzal

Vokzal…
A stingy, poor, bitter tear
Is trickling down the window here,
Now I am living in the past.
Vokzal…
The town is flying past the train,
In it we used to live one day,
Dreaming forever to stay there.
So in our life it comes to pass,
Can’t live together, have to part,
To shreds from sufferings is torn
Heart.
Tears by the road are bitter, hard,
Love’s sufferings are brutal such,
Became again the lonesome ones
Now.
Vokzal…
Remember I warmth of your soul,
How easy was it for us both,
All in the past, long time ago.
Vokzal…
All clocks have stopped and do not stir,
Thawed water will then wash it off
For good the trace of how it was.
So in our life it comes to pass,
Can’t live together, have to part,
To shreds from sufferings is torn
Heart.
Tears by the road are bitter, hard,
Love’s sufferings are brutal such,
Became again the lonesome ones
Now.
Vokzal…
Remember I warmth of your soul,
How easy was it for us both,
All in the past, long time ago.
So in our life it comes to pass,
Can’t live together, have to part,
To shreds from sufferings is torn
Heart.
Tears by the road are bitter, hard,
Love’s sufferings are brutal such,
Became again the lonesome ones
Now.
Vokzal…

About this poem:
Vokzal is a railway station in Russian. Performed by Russian singer and actress Yekaterina Guseva. The music is all important here. I translated lyrics in case you get interested in what Yekaterina is singing about. It's all about parting - the same old sad story. I am sure all of us know well the bitterness of it. No bitter partings and good luck in love, dear poets!

the love of my life

When I tell you I love you, I don’t say it out of habit. I say it to remind you that you’re the best thing that ever happened to me.

I love you for all that you are, all that you have been and all that you’re yet to be.

And suddenly, all the love songs were about you.

I love you more than I could ever really say.

I fancy the way your laugh can light up my day.

I wish you could see yourself through my eyes, then maybe you’d understand why I fancy you.

I fancy you and all of the wonderful things you’ve brought into my life.

Fancying you is one of my favorite things to do.

The day I met you, I found the piece of me I didn’t know was missing. I fancy you, this relationship and the better part of me you brought out.

I wish I could turn back the clock. I’d find you sooner and love you longer.

I didn’t know it was possible to love everything about someone until I met you.

Have I mentioned how lucky I am to love you?

I’m so grateful I get to love you.

Falling in love with you was the easiest thing I’ve done in my life.

When you fall in love with someone’s personality, everything about them becomes beautiful.

Queen Searching Lost Kingdom

Queen Searching Lost Kingdom

Geranium whispers in the twilight haze,
A queen wanders under the moon's soft gaze.
Her kingdom lost, her heart in strife,
In every petal, she seeks her life.

Aster stars sprinkle the night,
Guiding her way with their radiant light.
Echoes of laughter, shadows of crowns,
In dreams of old, her hope rebounds.

Lilies pure, standing tall and fair,
Whispers of a kingdom that was once there.
Courage in heart, scepter in hand,
She journeys forth to reclaim her land.

Iris, the rainbow, blooms in her wake,
Reflecting the path that she must take.
Across the mountains, through the dales,
Her spirit strong, she never fails.

Camellia blushes in dawn's first light,
Symbol of love, burning bright.
In the heart of a queen, love knows no bounds,
Her lost kingdom, she finally found.

In the forest of forget-me-not,
She finds a land that time forgot.
The palace stands, proud and grand,
In the kingdom, where love and memories expand.

Azalea, a celebration of life anew,
In the heart of the kingdom, where love is true.
With her people, she dances with joy,
In the land that time could never destroy.

Daisies bloom in fields wide and vast,
Reminding her of a beautiful past.
Now the queen of a kingdom reborn,
In the heart of her people, she'll never be forlorn.

Roses, the symbol of eternal love,
Blessings bestowed from the heavens above.
In the heart of a rose, she finds her peace,
Queen of her kingdom, where wonders never cease.

About this poem:
The poem "Queen Searching Lost Kingdom" is a beautiful and deeply evocative narrative, eloquently capturing the journey of a queen in search of her lost realm. It effortlessly weaves the theme of perseverance, love, and the power of hope through its exquisite lines.

Each stanza, marked by the name of a flower, adds an extra layer of symbolism and depth. Flowers, traditionally associated with feelings and emotions, create a rich tapestry of images that underscore the queen's quest and her emotional landscape. This botanical theme contributes to an overall sense of continuity and growth, mirroring the queen's personal development throughout her journey.

The journey of the queen could be interpreted metaphorically, not just as a quest for a physical kingdom, but also for internal fulfillment or self-discovery. The triumphant tone in the end, where the queen finds her kingdom and peace in a rose, suggests the completion of a transformative journey. It is dedicated to MAHARLIKA 808.

Lastly, the use of rhyme and rhythm in the poem adds a lyrical quality, making it not only a joy to read, but also giving it a timeless, classic feel.

Given that you've said this poem was inspired by a real 'queen' you know, it's evident that she is a strong and resilient figure. This poem, in its symbolic and metaphorical language, serves as a tribute to her journey and character.

What If

I saw her there all alone
Talking on her phone
To whom I know not who
As I wondered what to do

Sitting waiting for a glance
As I waited for the chance
For her to end the call
So I might climb the wall

To start the talk to open the way
To say the words I needed to say
To close the void between two strangers
That might start a new adventure

Watching, waiting for my chance
For her to escape the trance
That held her tight
While I waited long that night

Then the call did come for me to go
And board my flight I had to go
I left her behind no choice of mine
So forever will I pine

Now here I am still all alone
Oh if she had just hung up the phone
I often wonder what could have been
And if she would have ever seen

Me by her waiting as she talked
As I patiently watched and walked
Around and around her as she talked
And talked and talked

Karrol Levy I love you

Kindred spirits can’t remain apart.
All the land and seas cannot divide.
Remnants of our former we still are.
Rarest gems must not be cast aside.
Our fate is written in the stars.
Love I’ve felt for you I cannot hide.

Lovely you, your skin your eyes and hair.
Everything for you I’d do I swear.
Vast, deep, through to marrow, bone,
Years pass my love you’ve always known.

I will,

Love you until,
One day past eternity,
Verse and chapter, through adversity and
Every day after.

U!

lost and alone

you said only me
lied and cheated
left me deleted

i tryed , then cried
and
finally died inside.

now i hide
left by the wayside
broken inside

but you dont care
moved on with flare
found another to fill my chair

told me he was already there
what you did was not fair
you lies and cheating beyond compare

all trust broken
a loves lost token
your lies all awoken

NEARER TO NUMB

Losing my true love culminated this March third
since that day from she not one word
I still helplessly think about her every day
wishing she'd call just to see if I'm okay

Desire to find another someone no longer there
I crave Coitus but arduous process I can't bare
Getting divorced crushed my heart and soul
throughout mental abuse I somehow kept control

Her effortless cruelty stupefied like never before
I can't allow such ruthless disrespect anymore
'Time heal's' more synonymous with false than true
misery this Diabla inflicted won't let me escape blue

'Vows' have no meaning in present reality
fidelity decoupled from human mentality
People can't help lusting that much I know
confusing it with love reason you end-up solo

In Arwen's Requiem

The leaves on the trees
are starting to change and will soon fall ...
Can feel the chill in the air more and more ...
The hope of spring and warmth of summer
for me , gone forevermore ...

I held on to my heart's dreams ..
still wished to the very end
on Love's grace, it seems ....

But winter is slowly approaching ,
days when snow starts falling ...
And yet, here I am.... all alone ...
my heart grieving
for even Love's pains
have not turned it to stone ...

Like Arwen , a year from losing her love ...
but for me , only in my mind & heart ,
I walk in solitude
through the fallen leaves ... amongst the trees ...
feeling sorrow I can not fully speak of ...
Only comfort is the caress on my face
of a chilly autumn breeze ...
And like her , with cloak around me,
I lay on the forest floor ...
With closed eyes, in my imagination ...
I behold my longed for Love
as in a vision ...
Waiting ... at me smiling ...gently inviting ...
with hand in his, together, to enter Love's door ...
no more desolation ... only joyful anticipation ...

About this poem:
To the story in the Lord of the Rings trilogy that mattered most to a romantic like me. Inspired by the film's brief reference to Arwen's own demise, a year after Aragorn chose it was time to forever sleep and cease his long life ... They could have made, in my opinion, a film on the Tale of Aragorn and Arwen (Appendice A in Return of the King Book).
