FLOATING STARS

I love to look out my window on warm summer nights
To marvel at God’s creativity and might
Especially when I look out at the trees
There is a display of stars twinkling in the breeze

Floating here and floating there
They never seem to have a care
And then I hear an age old childish cry
Mommy, look and see – I caught a firefly!

Giggling and laughing with glass jars in their hands
They run hither and skitter over the land
There’s one there and another there
Oh – one just landed in your hair!

It seems so nice to get away from TV
To get back to nature and normal humanity
For what can be more proof of God’s love but to see
These small beacons of light twinkling happily!

Earth, Sea and Sky

Whether you believe in evolution
Or perhaps you believe in creation
All living things that dwell on Mother Earth
Are obligated to her for their birth

And what about the magnificent Sea
Where all the life forms there exist freely
Through the clouds, Sea supplies Earth with water
Which living things need to grow and prosper

Sky houses the clouds which provide the rain
That falls on the Earth again and again
The setting sun lights the sky brilliantly
Creating a scene of wondrous beauty

Earth, Sea and Sky exist in harmony
Comprising a glorious Trinity

Night Sky

Yesterday I saw a wondrous sight
As I walked about last night
And looked up to the sky up high
Stars sparkling like diamonds in the sky

Blinking, winking, dancing keeping time
To the beat kept by father time
The stage was set for the show to start
As I wondered when it would start

A flash just seen did catch my eye.
Over yonder way up there above my eye
I turned and saw the opening scene
Of comets screaming to be seen

Over, under the big bright moon.
Dancing to the opening tune
Of the opera about to play
For all those lovers out that day

Warned by the crack of the distant thunder
I searched about for the coming wonder
There in the distance I saw the start
Of the most wonderous part

There a small light of red, blue and green
Started to grow into that ball that I gleaned
On that wondrous diamond filled night
Till it hid all those diamonds so bright

Spinning, swirling colours ever changing
I watched as the dance kept evolving
Until at last it’s brilliance did finally ebb
Opening the way for the rest of the web,

How could I ever really know,
How long I stood there watching the show?
Played out for me in the dark sky
With all those diamonds sparkling in my eye!

Isolation

I Miss My Flying Like A Bird
I Miss My Coming to The Nest
I Keep Sitting In My Nest
I am afraid of The Pandemic
Virus called Covid 19
I Trust in GOD
Want to Fly again
The Friend Birds Says
Keep Sitting in Nest
If you don't have the Virus
Other Birds may have
One Intelligent Bird said
The Germs Of Virus Fly in Air
Its keep on multiplying
All Over The World
Keep sitting in your nest
Till the Order Of The GOD
To The Virus To Bury In Earth.
GOD KEEP ALL HUMANS SAFE FROM PANDEMIC
CURE THOSE WHO ARE SUFFERING FROM IT

PANDEMIC

I wondered how many really died
Which politician really lied
I see our weaknesses magnified
As the death toll multiplied

I see a world brought to a halt
Everyone trying to pass the fault
As COVID made a giant somersault
Reminds me why Lot's wife turned to salt.

Leaders once dominating made unsure
Scientist scrambled about for a cure
Most of us hidden behind a closed door
Watching tv and/or trying to learn more

While the Essentials tried to be brave
Not properly equip as lives they save
Our loved one might be buried in a mass grave
No matter if it be owner or slave

Our heart rate is now only registered rapid.
The future to most just looks morbid
Lord for Goliath you sent mighty little David;
Please Lord what or whom are you sending for COVID!

SKY BLUE....

Ripple as movement, stirs the trees
Gentle ruffling, a cooling breeze
Whilst sun beats down, without a break
Paths and roads, continue to bake

Sky so blue, not a cloud to be seen
Grass and leaves, still brilliant green
Water, we're told in short supply
Tanker can deliver, many will buy

Rural rely on rainfall, filling tanks
River's water reduced, within its banks
Market gardens, and livestock need
Fresh sparkling water, so life can feed

As New Zealand, copes with the heat
Coming quickly, Autumn will beat
March and April, soon will send
Cooling evenings, with rain our friend

New Arrivals

In spring the wind will rustle
And old leaves will tussle
Over the still bare ground
The smell of decay all around
Once when things started to thaw
Then the smell of apple blossoms is raw
Filling the air, swirling around as one
Tinges of pinks and whites are spun
Where new leaves and light begun
To sparkle like jades and jewels
I wait for those first orioles
And their short little chortles
Chirps and quick eyes as they hop
From branch to branch would plop
Pecking away at some unseen pray
Flying so effortlessly for awhile
Makes me marvel in triumphant style

Nature's Balance

Crystal bright sunshine, replaced by grey
Doubtful skies, replace sun's bright rays
Temperature drops, humidity forgotten
Heat respite, warmer clothes not cotton

Over-shadowed skies, reduced activity
Farmers need rivers, to reach capacity
Brown rolling hills, need rain's coating
Cracked-dry land, needing a soaking

Yet we struggle, when day turns dull
Nature's cycle, must refresh not kill
Day of heavy rain, is what land requires
Moisture gift, better than drying fires

After rain, crystal raindrops dazzle-shine
Maybe a rainbow arch, will be a sign
Nature, does her best to balance-share
Changing our outlook, lavishing care

Storm GB

Batterd and bruised
Wind and rain
Rivers flow deep
Rivers flow high
Enters towns and
Villagers you don't care
Batterd you blow
Your torment no bound
From oceans deep
Your cyclones rage
We call you names
Ciara Dennis the menace
Too name a few
More storms ahead
Before the skies become blue
Before the rains do go
The winds to die
The sun to show to feel the
Sun rays once more
We pray for winters end
We pray for sun to show

SPARKLES

Embedded image from another site

Little dusts of diamonds sparkling everywhere
On cards – decorations – and in the air
Snow dust in winter – frost in the fall
Sun shining through raindrops to enthrall

After Christmas in carpets – a path to walk
They are all year grabbing onto your sock
Tiny little flashes of bright light catching your eye
Encouraging you as you hurry on by

I love sparkles as my family well knows
Don’t send her a card unless sparkles on it glow
Others say plain is better but to me seem too dull
Sparkles brighten up my day and make it full

For light reflects off these little cheerful bits
Shining and cheering you on not to quit
When life at times gets depressing and dull
They are there lighting up like little angels
