the last husband

twists and turns of life go on
new endings, new beginnings
constant
some friends never waver
a welcome cushion to fall back upon
never to be assumed
they are just
that
friends
but in our desire for our final, blessed, forever love
many of us become sad, hurt
as romance misplaces too often it seems
failure, loss, confusion, tears
too personal
we feel alone
others around us look
different
unaware, unaffected, protected, normal, busy
happy
their consciousness need not traverse
to that foreign land, apparently my land
a place that I know well
not a welcome land, but oft visited
too familiar, too painful
one day I'll meet another here
who, as myself, is only returned to bide
to wait and wonder
ever to question ourselves
seeking answers
why do we continue to be held captive here?
alone
maybe, this is where we must be
for, were we not
there would be no occasion to at last find
the one searching for us as well
I pray that my wife is here
that I may find her
that she may find me
together, to escape our prison
to arrive at that new land
where, finally, only joy is shared between us
we will have made our last arrival, anywhere
together
how strange the feeling
the air has never smelled sweeter
no song before has had quite this sound
so, this is what love has promised
it has all been worth it
I found you

A Decent Man I Never Wanted To Meet

On my singles website a message was patiently waiting for me
Hopefully the man of my dreams was calling my true long awaited destiny
I clicked on the website and much to my regret
An old man was gazing back to me; a real nobody I suspect.

He spoke briefly about his interests along with the info he was drug, alcohol, and alimony free
He thought these words of comfort would welcome my cooperation now and throughout eternity
I focused briefly upon his wrinkles, his gray hair, the desperate hope behind his light blue eyes
I secretly wanted him to be the object of all my fondest desires; the ultimate social prize.

Lost for a few seconds in thought I ultimately decided silence was the proper way to go
A rebellious act of defiance to a complete stranger I was determined at this time to show
So many men on these websites like sheep passing through a gate
Till wrinkles and gray hair join my family; a long period of waiting may become my ultimate fate.

About this poem:
The more obstacles a person places in their path as a reason not to attempt to meet new people and make new friends just adds to their frustrations of not finding success on these respectives singles' websites. Flexability is the key to success.

Is it wrong?

Is it wrong to want romance
A slow and shuffled dance
A hand reaching for you
With a tender, kindly glance.

Is it wrong to wait for love
A chance to be, a sight to see
A notion or a chance.

Is it wrong to wait for Mr Right
not settle for right- for- now....
or thinks he's right but clearly wrong
No chance, no hope, no loving song.

Is it wrong to want romance
A loving walk in the dark
A hand- holding wander
Along the beach or through the park.

Is it wrong to wonder
Where all the gents have gone
Someone who will notice
What perfume you have on.

Is it wrong to want a flower
A gift, with careful thought
A message of care, a hand on your hair
A look that says that you care.

Is it wrong to want romance
Am I now too old for all that?
Should I drop all my hopes and dreams
What is there to long for without it?

Is it wrong to want romance
Not just a fumble in the dark
But the whole damn picture
Of the meeting of our hearts.

My Sweetheart

Sitting here with a coke and a smile
Thinking about my sweetheart for a while
Oh baby I am always thinking about you
You are stuck in my mind like glue
I find myself wanting you more and more
That is because you are the one I adore
You are always on my mind
You my sweetheart are one of a kind

Hugs N Kisses

A Continuing Social Dilemma For Women

Two opportunities sitting comfortably at the bar
"What are my chances this evening for romance to go far?"
Tired of spending too many lonely nights alone in my room
"Will good fortune be mine on a night of a full moon?"

The cool one offered to buy me a drink
His worldly phrases and fast lines put me in the pink
A red flag appeared when he offered to show me his house
Just another notch on his belt for the adorable louse.

The other one not drinking liquor quickly put me at ease
A responsible person so eager to please
A sense of humor inside of him unable to find
His level of predictability for a blind woman so boringly kind.

Going home mentally comparing social notes inside my head
The best and the worst of the male social animal it has been said
Not willing to continue allowing loneliness to get the best of me
Neither applicant my complete idea of a prince in the galaxy.

About this poem:
A lonely woman visits a local bar. Two men with different styles of social technique in turn attempt to score with the young woman. Both men fail to win her trust for obvious reasons. She goes home determined not to allow loneliness to get the best of her. She also retains a firm inner personal resolve not to settle for anything less than what she feels she deserves in the form of male companionship.

All of my love

Inside this hard body,
behind these steel eyes,
Theres really a shy and sensitive guy,
I swear to never cheat,
Ill try not to lie,
I know Im not perfect,
So I said Ill try,
I only want to hear you laugh,
Never hear you cry,
I want to hold and love you,
Until the end of time,
Lets go to the movies,
Then go out to dine,
Stare into each others eyes,
Over a glass of wine,
Well go walking through the park,
Girl your hand in mine,
Ill whisper somethings in your ear,
and watch you smile wide,
Dont listen to those other guys,
I would shine your shoes,
I will carry all your things,
And open doors for you,
Im throwing coats in puddles,
Unlike other fellas,
No rain will ever touch your day,
I'll be your umbrella.

Never Enough

It will never be enough
To know briefly
The depth of Passion-
That which lays
Inches inside your Soul

It is not the knowledge
Which drives the Body
But the experience
Of the Devouring of your Soul

I stand here
Only between the hours
In which I am given to lay
Consuming you
These nights you spend
Being spent
No strength left
In want of breath
With arching back
Mouth frozen open

I will not take to standing-
I am a creature of crawling
Of entrapping
Of constricting
Aggressive
And demanding
I am selfish
But I give

What you've been seeking
Here now I offer it
Just know that I am insatiable
And that neither you
Nor this moment
Will ever be enough

Let me lock my arms around you....!!

Let me lock my arms around you
its first time i have
ever felt this much lonely..!!
can you recognize me?
give me a little time
and try to believe me...
i want to know you
i want to show you
but i dont konw
what to say
always stay up with out sleeping
waiting someone
would cure this pain
this life is a game sometimes....
dont know you think
you know me like yourself
come and try to look me
in the eyes
you can see how much i love you.......!!

friend

It is oferring me help
help that I cannot accept
Should I get close?
His Love I'd never felt
His arms around me,
comforting and protecting
Urging and awakening
Thought I'd never see
He waits for me to choose
Right or wrong
Pain or gain
Really nothing to lose
What choise do I make?
Not a choice, but a desire
Give in or retreat?
That is the question that ours answers flee

under the sunset.........!

blazing blue skies
painted by
orange and pinks...
purple and blues..
oh.........
colours are
shimmering all
over the world...

far cries of
a seagull
cutting the sounds
of perfect waves...

rays of setting
red sun
changing the white
beach sands
in to golden...

come and hold me
near to you..
taking my hands
just walk beside me...

horizon of my
crazy mind
lights up..
when ever i think
about you...

under the sunset
im waiting for you.
