our son

Next weekend our son will take on a wife
And start a brand new life
He asked me to find some pictures you
He's going to make a memorial table just for you
This breaks my heart even more
As I go through the pictures
I see that look of pride you have for him
Today I sit here and ask
Why did God take you so soon
Our son had so much to show you
Our son has become a very successful lawyer
And a kind hearted loving man
What father couldn't be filled with pride
I just wish you were here when he takes his bride
I know you will be beaming down with joyful tears
Over the the years he's come to be a lot like you
Sometimes just talking to him makes me miss you
Today I told myself it's ok to cry
The memories must go back to their box
I know you will be with us in spirit
Because we're two proud parents
Who made a beautiful loving son

Always Thus

Twas always thus
Upon the grassed bleak knoll
Where time stood still
And all lay barren
Like my life
A never changing landscape
For I would soon depart
But you
Would remain as thus
So others may follow
And ponder their fate
And remember the departed
Who had seen
What you see now
It was just a different time
That did not show on the face
Of the bleak grassed knoll
Twas always thus
But as I ponder
I realise the truth
That you will change
As I have done
And those that follow
Perhaps will see things differently
From you and I
But I
Will forever remember
The way that we were
Twas always thus

My beautifull lover

Go" whilst you can
whilst i can still let you
dont confuse my urge to keep you
as anything, other then s*xual.

i know what your thinking
your asuming your the one
well my beautifull lover
let me tell you, you are wrong.

your sweet for what you have given me
you have given me more then i deserve
but i can only desire & never love you
ill use you and you, il hurt.

go" my beautifull lover
before i take you upstairs
before i demand you live me
before i rip off your shirt.

im trying to do right, so let me
to use you is a sin
i can never give to you my heart
what iv not got, i cant give.

dont look at me with those sad eyes
i did tell you from the start
not to fall in love cause i cannot
whilst another owns my heart.

go my beautifull lover, go...
not me but my body will miss you so.

secrets? what secrets?

What is this pain that wakes you
Why does this nightmare shake you
These demons coming to break you
And yet in silence suffering
Counting days slowly passing
Hiding screams that no one knows
Who is there to blame
For the pressure and pain
To look within for blame or fault
For their faces tell the story
They seek for truths that lay hidden
And truths they never find

Will You Remember Me

Will you remember. the Spring, times that we've shared..
Sitting under the old maple tree.. watching as the sunlit amber leaves of the forsynthia,
fell scattered amongst the ground.,
like a sudden golden meteor shower. around Easter time..
and then watching as the lilacs
burst forth, like a passionate purple flower showering us both with love, and making our heads spin with their heady scent ,.right around Mother's Day
and...then the days spent.. taking seemingly endless drives along the countryside..
Laughing and lost in nature's beautiful spell she cast.

Pages turned
and,bridges crossed.
love we began,
hoping it would not be lost.
Will you remember,
times we've had,
loved shared.,
The hot July sun..
days spent floating upon serene blue waters..
aimlessly without a care..sun dancing recklessly in our hair,
summer's spell rendering us utterly powerless.
to resist starlit dreamy, romantic,
summer nights..spent contentedly around a bonfire,
daring us, luring us..
to give in to it's moonlit spell..
Hoping it would not be washed away.

Will you recall, as the summer turned to fall..
the cool chilly air and nights spent in,,,
staring into eachother's eyes..
we had no secrets and we had no lies..
Pillow talk, till the light of dawn..
Sometimes dreading, the imminent arrival of nearby stormy skies.

I wonder will you remember, the first snowfall..
the wonder of it all.
as we placed lights upon the tree
As we traced angels in the snow..
Tracing memories we came to know..
As if in some other time,
some other place.I can't help but wonder,
Will you even remember my face.

Will you remember me at all,
Or have you ,already been taken you from me...
Only time can know..
And sometimes it feels as though I'm in love alone.
And though you haven't yet actually gone,
I already miss you, so.

Night Time

I found peace amongst the darkening skies
Soon stars will whisper night times lullabies
The worries the stress the everyday mess
Making a way for nights gentle caress
A moment a minute in time who knows
Time to relax and just let it all go
Just me breathing in the fresh night air
Done worrying about everyday cares
The body relaxes the mind lets go
Time to forget all life's little woes
Shadows playing in moon lights swaying dance
Holding me fixed in the gentlest trance
Sleep will come and tomorrow will be here
The futures not mine but always seems near

"EIGHT SEASONS IN THE SUN"

Was it so long a Time ago?...Heh..Dont ask me I dont know...I found myself departing before I ever even arrived on the Scene
The Sun happened to be out that Day as a Beginning of and Ending had run its course
The Heat of the Sun...And the warmth of its Breeze...Is all you will ever get for Free
But have you ever stopped and understood just what you have had all along?
All those long distance Stories..Oh the feeling and Glory
And now there it is all in pieces spread out on the ground
The Sand in the Hour Glass keeps sifting through your Time
Nobody wants to let go of the only thing that they have
But is all of this just a feeling and thought in our Time?
What is there to see on the far side of the Hill?..If theres anything there at all.....Is a feeling just a feeling or is it a Warning?.......Look at all those Pictures..all the happiness..the Smiles...But are they really real?..For after all the reason for most of those Pictures is to find that reason to Smile....so..as you can see ..we as Humans werent born to be alone....but here we all are..Smiling and putting on a Show...But does anybody know what happens when the spotlights go off and the Curtains come down?
The reality sets in and your world comes crashing down upon you all over again....But for most of us the Show will go on once more..With a new Idea to keep our selves up there in the Lime Light....For in the end One must leave their Home for Two to become One....So what are we really doing?..Does anybody really know.."Eight Seasons in the Sun"..."As the Skies start to grow Dark".....So..."Is it the End of a Beginning?"..."Or a Beginning of an End?".."Its left for you to decide which is real and which is an Illusion"........

Lost Love

All she wanted was to feel loved
Mother didn't want her
Wouldn't give her up
Nothing she could do was ever good enough
No matter how hard she tried
She was made to cry
She always tried to please
Only to be teased
She began to act tough
Only made life rough
Her self esteem was poor
She was always being called a whore
If only they knew
She had never been kissed
She became a mother
She fed her children with lots of love, hugs and kisses
Mother didn't break her
She cause her to set a goal
To love her children more then life itself
This little girl with a great big soul

A Good Woman

Embedded image from another site

I'm in love with a good woman
a black woman, interracial love
go ahead label it
pour it all over people
over any man or woman
who has ever loved or cried
worked hard, played hard or died
for any of us
it is love...

She's a strong woman, yet gentle
smart and still learning
she works hard and when she gets home
likes to give her man good loving
she likes to eat out and have nice things
she wants happiness and not tears
she desires a good man
cos she's a damned good woman...

She can be a sassy woman
quite capable of articulating her needs
doesn't expect you to read her mind
recognizes her love has great value
and it must be reciprocated
she makes all her man's fantasies come true
she loves herself and needs her man's love too!

missing you

Strong winds are blowing
Tears streaming down my face
Smiling feels no taste
Trying to survive life
in a different place
Knowing no other could take your place
my heart has an empty space
Life isn't a race
you left in such a haste
As I sit in this empty place
I must accept
God blessed you with his grace
