Tragic Disaster

I watched the TV scene of mourning
And saw a myriad photos of the dead
All from the twin towers collapsing
I felt sad for those who have lost
But at the same time angry the most
At the thought of it all being designed
Totally engineered to look like a fire
Aeroplanes sacrificed in a lame deceit
All beautifully arranged by experts
They will not have remembered
These things you’re made to forget.

And so the world goes on blithely
Brainwashed into accepting blindly
That it had to be terrorists
But it was coldly planned
You would never think it
It is just too hard to bear
Many can see and know
But Keep silent in fear

About this poem:
There is plenty of evidence.
It remains for historians of the future to describe aghast at the 20th century.

I Surrender

I surrender to the loveless darkness
That whispers nothing to me in the middle of the night
I surrender to another shallow day that drags me passed
The ticking tocking of the clock
I surrender to your silence
As if it had screamed sweet ‘somethings’ to me
I surrender to my perceptions
Of how it is
how it should…or could have been
I surrender to deciding no-thing
And knowing less about more
I surrender to the calendar
Marking off each day
That brings me closer to an illusionary union
I surrender to waiting...and waiting some more
I surrender to the desire
To be held dear and precious
By some other body...
I surrender to opening up a space
To let love enter
Even if it means
Being burnt to my core
I surrender to the fear
Of abandonment
That hangs over me like a fictitious ghost
I watch as this love so full of promise
Shape shifts in the shadows
Approaching then receding
Waning...waning….
Before there had been an inkling of waxing
I surrender to the letting go of the dead departed
Each last breath an unrequited
Waving a solitary goodbye
Like my first love brandishing his sword
Severing deep my innocent dreams of forever
I surrender to the loves that never bloomed
Like buds being hung out to dry
The life force being drained out of them
In premature decay....
And in their wake all that was exhumed
A memory of what they could have been
Had they not been forsaken in a jar by the door
I surrender to the timelessness
Of my insular, hollow life
I touch its chilly embrace
Like a companion I have come to despise
In cold, silent communion
Of this distasteful union
In which I bury all my inner fears
Yet we all must fall…and fall again
To rise…and arise…again and again
So I allow it to flow through me
As I surrender
I surrender

The Outlaw

Embedded image from another site

My love is the outlaw
no rules to follow
no strings attached
I love you for free...

The sun gets higher
today I'm a loaded pistol
needing your palm
to press against my action
waiting for you to crawl into bed
and pull the trigger...

Here I am darling
an outlaw in hiding
both boots on the ground
my eyes shut...

Playing poker for love
stealing tequila drunken
eights and aces in my hand
coming to you across the Rio Grande..

HELP ME LIVE

For your height has weighed down on you.
For your branches held a beautiful
place up in the sky.
The wind ripped you from where
you were as if to pull life
out of your roots.
Your girth was your death.
You lean over to the fence as if
asking your friend to help to
bring you back to the beauty that
was your existence
For yet that is not to be life
has been cut short.
You are no more it is time
to say goodbye.

Memories Never Say Farewell

Life is like a million photographs
Some were taken by your heart,as everyone can tell
Some made you cry and some made you laugh
Oh does that ring a bell

And no matter how many times you said goodbye
Isn't it good to know the kind of love
When memories never say farewell

Sometimes life is like a wishing well
A million wishes you have made
A few came true,a few have begun to fade
And some have touched your heart to pray,oh does that ring a bell

And no matter how many times you say goodbye
Isn't it good to know the kind of love
When memories never say farewell

Who Goes With Fergus?

WHO will go drive with Fergus now,
And pierce the deep wood's woven shade,
And dance upon the level shore?
Young man ,lift up your russet brow,
And lift your tender eyelids,maid,
And brood on hopes and fear no more.
And no more turn aside and brood
Upon love's bitter mystery;
For Fergus rules the brazen cars,
And rules the shadows of the wood,
And the white breast of the dim sea
And all dishevelled wandering stars.

To Miss.JEANIEMAC : )

Let's go to drive together in the car of Fergus!!! ; )
Thank you for the comment : )

Do I Dare

Do I dare at my age talk of love
Should I dare at my age think of romance
Do I have just a tiny idea
I could even have half of a chance

Do I dare at my age look into her loving eyes
Should I dare at my age let her see
That I have no disguise

Life is not a fairy tale, not a movie show or a book
Perhaps I shouldn't dare I fear we both know
Really all she has to do is just take one look

So do I dare at my age talk of love
Should I dare at my age think of romance
Do I have just a tiny idea
I could even have half of a chance

Her loving eyes
I have no disguise
Do I dare

Joe The Old Man

He was tired and they called him an old man
He moved slow and one day I heard someone call him Joe
They only knew him as Joe the old man

Down by the beach, his footsteps weak as he walked through the sand
And when seagulls would fly,no one could hear him cry
And no one knew the story about Joe the old man

Late one evening as I walked by the park
I guess you could say about the time of almost dark
I saw him near a hot dog stand

As I walked his way,in his lonely eyes I could see
what lonely could really be
I said hello and then I shook his hand

As you know time has a way of passing by
And when seagulls would fly,no one could hear him cry
He moved slow and one day I heard some one call him Joe
They only knew him as Joe the old man

And then.....

And then……..
Words whispering through the blowing winds,
A time of change beckons where no one wins,
Storms growing from rage held back from inexperience,
Thoughts of my existence of who am I, and just to be,
Believing in an invisible force that can never be seen,
Pain envelopes me in hells raging fires,
Hope yearning from past desires,
Clawing back from an empty void,
The light shines through the clouds above,
And from the darkness there grows love…….. And then
