OPEN CRUSH
my lovely lemonade -
how i do miss you

vintage lemonade
Blue Skies of Mercy
Green plums
The famished one will eat them
but will find the taste
bitter.
Cold rain
drowns wind, its chill eating one’s heart
but the scent gives life
to souls.
Worn string
on harp, used near to breaking
but its note, played, is
hope-filled
always.
Every Year Haiku
Orange barrels block the road
Tax dollars at work
Attraction
Melded together.
Then I blushed.

Experimenting a little more with Haiku (nature) versus Senryu (feelings) .....5-7-5 format. Using a very structured format when writing poetry often helps to create such creativity and emphasis on words denoting feelings......amazing how descriptive language becomes....like music almost following conventions.
Flowers and Sky
wave their beautiful petals
the sun beams on them
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Roses glimmering
jewels every one of them
a perfect picture
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Star light cloaks the world
each a twinkling delight
a promise of dreams
Haikus
I care only know that I
Will always love you.
Gazing in wonder
I stood frozen in delight
As morning awoke.
Will love you always
deep inside my heart and
ever more in time.

The beauty of nature...
Maybe now you'll know
but still thats nothing new
I smile when I see your face
but thats been done before

I used to seein smiles and hugs
but yours is something more
I dont know how this can be true
this is why I liked you

Your safe warm hugs i know I need
are tight and never end
Your smile mirrors on my face
and wipes away my pain

My heart stops cause of what I know

About this poem:
I had the most amazing best friend, who had everything a girl would love both from his personality and looks but he constantly doubted himself. As I used to like him he always asked what did you ever like about me every time he felt insecure and I could never come up with the right words so I wrote this. And from love to friendship its still true to this dayFirst Glance (Senryu)
