Women have dreams

This is for my ladies. Better yet as we call you babies. Are so we call you so. How about my b*tch, or ho. Sorry am cursing in this poem, but theirs a few things I need to know. Women thru out world history help mold the world what it is today. You can see their work in display even till this day. Madam C. J. Walker; first million dollar women; but more importantly help hair care. So every time you get your hair fix, a part of her you share. Rosa park; help freedom movement and get people to march on their feet. So ever time you sit up on the front on the bus after a hard day of work; thank sister Rosa for that seat. Harriet Tubman; suffered bad injures to free slaves ,and the first woman to lead an armed expedition in war. So ever time you think you can't go on; think about what Miss Harriet had to go thru to free people, and you will push yourself even far. Florence Nightingale; help to show the world that nursing is a true profession as a trained profession in our modern day. So ever time you go out nursing someone in bad health, or known someone who want to go to school for nursing; man or woman; U got to thank Miss. Nightingale for proving the way. Oprah Winfrey; first African American woman billionaire, and first African American first African American syndicated talk show host. So ever time you see a successful black African American syndicated talk show host on t.v. (Tyra banks); you have to give thanks Oprah at that most. Althea Gibson; first African-American woman tennis player in any port. So ever time you see a black woman in tennis(The Williams sister); you have her to thank for breaking the color barrier in that sport. Furthermore, I can go on and on about women who made this world a better place of any race. You're more then just a pretty face. 'You are so beautiful' in and out, and shouldn't accept abuse, being use, and be contain. I know that lame sounds, but woman around the world help move many grounds. So you need to stop disrespecting yourself with unnecessary words, names , and slutty clothing for sexually gains. Making yourselves more degrading for men sexually games. As men we should have many shames, and blames for some our women lower their self esteem. With 'you getting to fat', 'You shouldn't be looking like that', 'you ain't no good to me no more', 'and shut up you hore'. As men we need to stop treating our queens mean. As I shown in my writing; woman thru out history stead out fighting for people rights, and society. Woman have dreams. You don't have to depend on your husband to stay true. Independents, stand up for yourselves, do want you need to do to make yourselves, and other respect you. Love yourself, Love you. You all are hard working 'every day people' in this World. You're no more dad's little girl. The world is your clam; its time to shine. Stand up for your rights, fight, and grab your pearl.

Struggle in society

She sits at the table and just plays with her food.
The words people said still linger in her head,
Her mother asks her "Whats wrong".
She just looks up and says she's "Fine".
She gets up and moves away, as her mother asks her to stay.

She looks in the mirror and doesn't know what to do.
She stands there and just stares at her self in the reflective mirror.
She cries, as she see's her reflection, believeing the self-deception.
That she's fat, she's alone and no one loves her.
She struggles as she tries to look away, but the voice in her head keeps telling her to stay.
As she, Contemplated to look in the mirror at her reflection. Taunting her, in her deceptive vision

She struggles and battles with her broken heart, and with the pain that she feels in her heart.
She tries and pulls herself together, and trying to make her self better.
She tries to force the voices out of her head, trying to forget what society has said.
Instead of staying in her room feeling glum.
She tries and walks out with a smile on her face, even though she feels like a waste of space

Her struggle with soicety has broken her, and left her with nothing left to say.
Society is cruel and makes her feel ugly, and not the way she should.
So before you say something hurtful, always think of their lives.
Because many have been ruined and most never survive

Becareful

Poem

Be careful of what you do today
Coz it turns to be a choice tomorrow
Be careful of bluberring eyes and sweet smiles of the taste you get now
Coz it might turn as bitterness tomorrow
Be careful of swinging feelings of excitement today coz it might turn as bad experience tomorrow
Becareful of choices you do today
Coz they might be your enemies tomorrow
Becareful of tomorrow for today you forget tomorrow!
Becareful of your future now!!!
Be care full of tomorrow!!!

TIME!

A Time to tell, We ask the Time, But to what do we ask if time is up! we seek what is lost and yet to be found, We find ourselves passing round and round. Looking up looking down wondering where we've gone, where we're going and what we've lost. A memory fixed a point a image in time and some in which we wish could be given another chance! Ask not what we can't seek for time is constant and waits for no one, recording what was what is and what has to be! Asking the time we are lost and have yet to find ourselves thus we seek refuge in another to bring Hope and the Light of a better outcome in what was a dark moment in our lives! The Time is NOW the Present and this being that is the FUTURE! The TIME you say? It's time to LIVE, LOVE and be MERRY!

Hope with Love

Close your eyes and see
All the suffering and pain
In a world we hope to gain
A feeling of security
With visions of surety
Preached with maturity
Promises of purity
Tainted by obscurity
Filled with animosity

Can you fathom
Fill the chasm
In a world of pain
While trying to gain
The promise of a better life
Free from strife
Yet cutting like a knife

I want to spread my arms
Hold you and breathe your pain
Look into your eyes
Feel your tears, hear your cries
If I could I would
Make the pain cease to be
In a world filled with misery

Know the depth of your soul
Have a conviction, a role
Is there something you would die for
Ceasing to be ever more

I want to see the tears
Feel the tears and cry with you
I want you to know I will die with you
I feel your pain in the depth of my being
One human to another, a sister or brother

Agreeing, seeing, guaranteeing
Not fleeing, only freeing, are you seeing
Loves deep understanding
Challenging the lies that became belief
That has filled us with grief

Holding you and feeling your soul
Standing, expanding and commanding
No misunderstanding, not withstanding
A crash landing
Making us whole
The love that should bind
Not blind, only kind

The meeting of our hearts
Masters of fine arts
Taking our minds
Are we blind
We are mankind
Stop digging for gold
We need to be bold

Stop telling stories renowned
So cold, all foretold
Controlled and two fold
Out of the protective fold
Life paroled

Like a boat run aground
We’re bound
So profound, downed
Meanings that confound

Lost in the allusions
The millions of exclusions
Taunting with confusions
Conclusions that bring delusions
Stop the intrusions

I want to cry with you
Hold you
I want to feel your pain
Really feel your soul
Nothing to gain

I want to hold you
Die with you
Feel your tears
Feel your fears

Look into your eyes
Take away all the lies
Meant for our demise
My sister, my brother
We need to love each other
Like a mother

Close your eyes and see
Imagine what could be
Feel the pain in that moment
It’s extremely potent, when
There is nothing to gain
In feeling the pain

Love someone and hold on
A new world will dawn
Filled with promise and glory
As we write humanity’s new story

Nothing to gain, destroy the pain
A world where love reigns
Breaking the chains
Humankind will remain

Suffering derailed
Love prevailed
Forever more
We soar

Close your eyes and you will see
This is how it has to be
For you and me

About this poem:
I wrote this poem on Saturday as I was overcome with the emotion of comforting the people suffering from recent tragedies around our world. I wanted to write through my tears of compassion.

"Our human compassion binds us the one to the other - not in pity or patronizingly, but as human beings who have learnt how to turn our common suffering into hope for the future." Nelson Mandela

Stop!

As long as I live
Through all that I give
I will never understand
The hatred that abides
In mankind that hides
And makes the eyes blind

It seems so hidden
With no real agenda
Disorganized and fleeting
It lacks a civil greeting
And yet
Its hard to forget
That the biggest discourse
Are people on this earth
Quite a formidable resource
How then do people give birth
To hatred and strife
In this precious, short life

Shouldn’t we be inclined
To help each other out
Of that there is no doubt
Rather than being confined
No matter where we live
Just reach out and give
Truly be alive
And not to deprive
The love that connects us
To our human kind and forgive

Our beating hearts connect to all
Love and respect is our call
Arms wrapped in colors
Helping each other
Eyes of many colors
See just the same
It doesn’t matter
Our hearts still shatter
Black, white, yellow, red,
If there were purple and green
I fear the abuse would still be there
So utterly, completely absolutely obscene
As we all inhale and breathe the same air!

So, Stop
Don’t say another word
Think before hatred spews from your mouth
Toward strangers you meet in your life
Uttering innuendos that cut like a knife
I’m talking about real love that’s what it’s about
Hold your tongue, don’t accuse, bruise and abuse
Another who is just like you, yes just the same
Only a different color, culture, race and name

People succumb
March to a new drum
Deflect, connect and disinfect
Redirect your faulty interconnect
A great cosmic master plan is in place
Written to set us free and is for every race
Three powerful words were penned
Helping us to defend, ascend and extend
LOVE, HONOR and RESPECT
To everyone we meet and to comprehend
These powerful words meant to protect

So, what went wrong with the world
With this blatant hatred and strife
That became a great strain on life
Love should run through our veins
Mitigating all the stains
Beating in our hearts
Giving life
That binds
Colorblind
Together
All mankind
Under a peace shelter
Making our lives better
Through tears and trials
Separated by many miles
I still look for the smiles

Those that know truth
Fortunate and knowing ones
Hear the sounds of the drums
The beat that keeps united love alive
Utterances of prayers that peace survives
Shielding us from others neglect
Those three words so perfect
And to each other we connect
Helping us to protect
Through all the profanity
Our human dignity

About this poem:
I overheard a horrible conversation today, which brought tears to my eyes and a little scene in the store. I had to pen my anger at how hurtful and uncaring people can be toward other human beings because they are "different"...it makes my blood boil and my heart ache!

SONG OF THE ELM

Song of the Elm

Standing tall next to brothers Ash and Birch
we feel as guardians of this silent church.
Soldiers of the land, watchers of the hills.
From tip of limb to tip of limb
our arms encircle valley low,
swaying in rhythm to river's flow.
Purple mountains undulate across the land
seducing a love affair with man.
The river's song is our lullaby.
And in the stillness of the night,
as the moon hangs her luminous smile over our charge,
our limbs that touch from tip to tip,
encircleing all that lies below,
embrace the tightening grip stick
waiting for the reaper: Man.

making breakfast for the wolves

Making breakfast for the Wolves

We offer gall to sheep seeking clear brook water.
Brown fields have deputized themselves,
laying waste green pastures.
The sun is gorged with fire before
it peeks above the Eastern rim.
Autumn now bargains with passing artists
for their pallets.
Horse drawn sleighs that sliced through powdered snow,
that pealed hello, faces laughing
all aglow, now sink in mire,
the only sound, the chewing mud.
We are the Shylock artist stroking wide
a swath of paint on canvas, the color of lost.
And in our pretended effort we have become
breakfast for the wolves.
We have become the thirsty lamb.

About this poem:
The maintenance man, at the request of a tenant cut branches from a tree outside her window so she could see the driveway.?? I thought what would happen if the tree did not turn c leaves because they could no longerolors in the fall because of too much cutting? Would we bargin an artist for his pallet to paint the colors on the leaves because they could no change themselves. There is no more snow for sleighs oly wet mud and mireand the sleighs are chewed up by the mud. Have we become so lax ss to give gall to a thirsting lam as they did the Lamb of God? Is there any hopthat we will care or will we become breakfast for the wolves??

Freedom's illusion

Freedom's Illusion

Freedom conjures sight of wings
but illusion traps us all.
Geese that fly fall behind
from shots by hunters in their blind.
The geese southern flight
is a constant risk,
no more freedom than a fish
swimming freely in the sea
till net or hook their freedom steal.
Oceans favor blue skies mirth
their preference kissing sandy shore
wallowing in ancient lore,
yet loose control of "White Squall's birth,
it's tidal flow
at mercy
of "Moody Moon's Turf.
And so in a trap is all of Man,
it nests within his soul.
And he feels the rakish lust
from the tines of lying myths
that he and he alone is blessed
with freedoms bliss,
until he tries to fly,
and feels the weight of gravity's drag.
So now he sits upon the sand,
watching black fish die on land
while juggling tar balls in his hands.
His only freedoms are his thoughts.
And maybe that's enough.
