rain

Translated from Arab by google

Am waiting rain
For spring blooms
Dreams

Sometimes
Fire
And coals
Warm the frost
My days
Olbisk coat on my chest
Feel the breath of my grief
Waiting for water
Cold
To quench the thirst of my fast
Waiting for air
Of groping my fingertips
And capillary
And capillary
And all over my private
I feel you in my coffee cup
Accompanied in the evening
Stranded
The memories
And my dreams
Looking for you
My thoughts
Cells in blood
Under and gentlemen,
In my wallet
In the margins of my papers
In all my details
Otguenk language
Broken
Such as my thoughts
And Gayati

Day Dreaming Of You (acrostic)

Days spent thinking of you

Always I can see you

Your presence I can feel

Dreams while awake

Reaching out for you

Each time you slip away

Abandoned I feel and lost

Many times I smell you

It clusters around me

Now settling , and the

Good memories flood in

Onwards alone I go

Free yet never free

You are part of me

Only hidden by the veil

Until it parts I wait for you

A Caroling Acrostic

"Carol of the Bells", from faraway Ukraine
"Hark! The Herald Angels Sing", we hear again, and again
"Rocking Carol", though familiar, is an old Czech tune
"I Heard the Bells”, we all enjoy, and cannot be heard too soon

"Silent Night", Holy Night, from Austria to thee
"Tannenbaum, O Tannenbaum", about the Christmas tree
"Mary's Boy Child", in the charts, year on year, on year
"Angels We Have Heard on High", always brings a tear

"See, Amid the Winter's Snow", and we end right here

About this poem:
This 'surprisingly' just won a contest for a 'Christmas' acrostic. I think it was the idea of using the carols rather than the actual quality of the poem, that and the fact that there were only 19 entries. But what the hell... a win is a win :)

AUTUMN

Another season of color,
Unto is such and there is no other.
To see those leaves fall,
Under our feet the winter will call.
Many days and nights are so cool,
Now those kids, yeah, back to school.

Freedom Yells, It Don’t Cry

Freedom, is what, they call, having nothing left to lose
rather than face, the reality that no one, is truly free.
Eternity was not meant for small minds to comprehend and
endings are also beginnings, as the world spins in chaos.
Domains of hell we create by placing humanity on a ball and chain as
otherworld philosophy is ignored with contempt by our inept leader's
mendacious puppeteers, that rock the boat and poke the bear.

Yelling out in a freedom's rebel voice to be heard
entering the fourth dimension to come to terms with
little details as well the larger picture that hurts to look at.
Listing all of our imperfections to perfection in an hour of need,
sometimes, we forget that from diversity comes greatness.

Intelligence of humanity is slipping through our fingers like sand
toward the bottom of the hour glass as we dummy-up in unison.

Dormant lie the powers to bring us peaceful serenity
only we can activate them before they dissipate into
naught; and we topple from imbalance and insincerity
towards the abyss of the darkest, coldest place in history.

Cry, FREEDOM, cry! Let our voices be heard from peak to valley,
reaching the chasms of the earth and space beyond our galaxy.
Yester year paints our future as we die for the deeds of our fathers.

Bridge Over Troubled Water

If at any time in your life
you feel the desire and the
need for someone to be
a source of comfort and a
friend in all situations

I'm always around for you
sailing on the waters of life
right through the darkest hour just
behind you in fair or foul weather

Like a log on the river banks I will be
a path across for you just like a
bridge stretched from bank to bank
over the raging turbulent river
troubled by the wind churning the
water into a mass of liquid fury

I am right there at your side and
will always be there for you to
ease all your burdens and
your fears and to comfort your
mind to peace and tranquillity

Stars in Love

Why stars shine bright
Feel so good at night
So where are you now
Alone again somehow
When all in my heart
You know from the start
Could be here for you
Be so right so new
In what I am saying
Love is now arraying

Nairobi

N ows here the place Joy Adams was chased
A s the lion cubs let loose followed her scent
I n haste through stores and stalls in riotous glee
R ight to her they led George he begged her to stay
O utwitted in her ploy to go she tried again to leave
B ut the lion cubs sure had other ideas and circled her
I nstead she found that no way could she leave them

Ramifications

Ramparts adorn the castle walls
Amidst them slotted turrets
Making for a grim facade
Inside a moat that repelled many
Fortess of all it guards
In its depths a dungeon
Captives were placed there
A home to torture chambers
The stains of blood darkly visible
Inferno pit in the centre
Over which people were hung alive
No mercy given here to foes
Screams heard for miles around
