When we choose a home, we generally have no idea who's living around us, sometimes we're lucky and sometimes not.
I have great neighbours either side of me, we don't have a great deal to do with each other, but I know they are very nice people and I'm one of the lucky ones.

How about you?
At the moment I am in a unit complex? Here in WA that’s a row off houses with one driveway built on one acre of land, I have had a number off neighbours over the last two years, but two of them have pissed me off by parking in the way of my garage,
But that problem was solved with a few words by me on where I would be parking in the future if they parked their cars there again?
But I will be moving into the new place soon, so far its looking good, a bit slower than I wanted, but my own place plus the kid, with a double carport with a remote door,

daggyone: any units are yucky, sorry, living out of your neighbours pockets is the last thing I want to be doing.
Dude! They are self standing brick and tile 3/2 houses with just a common driveway, no adjoining walls! This place was new when I first moved in, freshly painted with new carpets and curtains,

I am the same. One family has a set of keys to my place. I'm not really home in normal times to catch up but we do have a coffee when we can. There are 2 houses like that. Most of the others are just Hi and bye but mainly cause I'm never home. I do have one that gives me the hebby jeebies at times.
Ferals next door who love very load music at 2am. Although there have gotten a bit wary of me because I just go in and turn it off on them. When my daughter was living here, they had the music blaring at 3am when I was away. They had thought I was exagerating. Couple of days later, my son-in-law had a day off and their music set the dogs off. He relocated his stereo and opened all the doors and windows to that side of the house, and turned it up full bore. Shut up the other side of the house and went outside. It has been peaceful for the last year.
Had great neighbours in Sydney, each side, behind and across the road. We were known as Rent-a-Crowd because we always seemed to be together. Until I caught my wfe in bed with one.

Have no neighbours behind me or in front of me, the neighbour on the right - we have our moments (well she does yelling and screaming at all hours of the night/morning with whichever guy) and my other neighbour lives 2 vacant land blocks away - best thing about island life in 2011 - it's still not built out....
