sofarsogood74: Whats so hard to understand??????

At the moment China needs to be global. It has embraced capitalism in all but name. It wants to trade with the world and build a string rich economy. As this happens the middle and upper classes in China will grow and the wealth of its people will grow. That will create a huge internal market and then it hope it can snowball and eventually take away the need for trading with the west. Thus becoming self sufficant.

Is that really so hard for you to get??? Are you that stupid really???

rolling on the floor laughing Nice attempt to twist Shotspopper! You said;

sofarsogood74: And THEIR goal at the moment is an autarky.

sofarsogood74: Oh my god, I am not saying its happening tomorrow. I am simply saying that is the long term plan of the current regieme. I did not say it was a good plan, I did not say it was a plan that would work...I meerly said its their long term plan.

It was just something you said to cover up for something else you said while covering up for something else you said. We know! Now you realise what you said is actually nonsense and are trying to state you only said it because that is what you heard but not what you believe!! Can't you see now how stupid you sound?

mr1983: You have abused everyone on this thread long before they abused you. And I'm telling you all the lobbying in the world by individual countries doesn't have the least bit of effect on the ECB. The ECB has a primary role of price stability and then it will work to protect the currency itself. .

More waffle we know. It still desn't stop countries from trying!!!!!! YOU REALLY ARE THAT NIEVE AREN'T YA????

mr1983: All of this is done on a euro wide basis and with the whole euro at its core and no amount of lobbying will change this. You really should know this. .

I DIDN'T KNOW i DIDN'T KNOW IT. yOU JUST SEEM TO BE WAFFLING ABOUT STUFF WE ALL KNOW AGAIN. aRE YOU BRNING UP WIKI TONIGHT???

mr1983: But it seems you don't. You will still tell me that countries waste resources and time trying to influence the ECB to change the interest rate. I'm telling you now that no amount of lobbying from Ireland, Germany,Italy or France has any influence whatsoever on decisions regarding the interest rate..

COUNTRIES WASTE RESOURCES AND TIME ON ANYTHING THEY THINK MAY HELP THEM. AND THEY DO TRY TO INFLUEB=NCE IN ECB....IT MAY NOT WORK BUT THEY DO.But you must have your crystal ball there telling you what is said in meetings between the german gov and ECB.

mr1983: Price stability is number one and after that they will proceed on euro area concerns. But you will still tell me I'm wrong and your right.

No...Price stability is amajor concern. They cant let inflation run away. Thats a rate of 2.65% by the way,,,,Not 2%rolling on the floor laughing

But it is higher in Germany and rising so you could not blame them for wanting the ECB rate to rise.

And it appears the lovely woman has agreed with me too. So thats another thing you have got wrong. Its a long oul list at this stage.

Good night!!!!laugh

Meetings occur between governments and their central banks which make up the ECB alright. But trust me when I say lobbying for interest rates changes doesn't work. European monetary policy is completely in the hands of the ECB. This is a fact. It is not just a fact. It is enshrined in primary european law. Its ok though. I'm wrong because you said I am. OK I'm wrong!

From the link below-""For China to feed itself is a major undertaking. It has to feed 21 percent of world's people with 7 percent of the world's arable land. This means that China's entire population of 1.3 billion people China (four times as many people as in the United States) must be fed on arable land that covers less territory than the state of Texas. You seem to keep coming back to this 2% inflation rate quite a bit! The primary role of the ECB is price stability. The treaties don't specify an exact rate. The figure comes from the ECB. They state that an inflation rate of about 2% is what they will try to maintain. Think about this. If the inflation rate was actually set at 2% exactly and the Germans were asking for a rise in the interest rate so much that they would get it now? ? So much for lobbying!! What a dope!

Don't you not see what he is telling you? He is telling you that China has to feed nearly 20% of the world's population on 6% of the arable land?
. The land mass is not going to grow in the future but the population will. Therefore they will have to trade for food and therefore they will not be self-sufficient! Or are you thinking about a different future to us?

Don't know who said that,I didn't.Fact is they more than likely couldn't be now even if they wanted too.As their population seems to be increasing,not decreasing,add to this all their other needs which will increase,not decrease,so if they can't do it now,how will they in the future?confused

BTW-I'm yet to see anything that suggests that is actually the party plan,which doesn't mean its not,however it does seem to be very unlikely that they could,it would take some major technological,as well as agricultural advances.

You are the dope who tells us he is in executive management and then when he is asked to tell us something about Michael Porter that he should know and we shouldn't he goes onto wikipedia and copies out a completely nonsensical statement that means nothing unless it is backed up with facts!Caaught out again. And I'm supposedly the one who is googling everything and am not what I say I am.

Do you feel stupid now?? You couldn't even copy out the last sentence properly or change it so it would make sense. You changed it a little and it makes no sense. By the way, I'm not in executive management and I've read his books and I've read a lot of his articles also. And I'm not in executive management. Who are you trying to fool here? You are only fooling yourself! You disappeared fairly quickly when you realised you were caught. You will probably try to read up a bit about him tomorrow before you reply back with some other fact you have googled. Don't bother. Trust me with this. You don't want me to make a fool of you any more on this point!! I'll leave you keep the little semblance of the fake reality you think you have here. Trust me on this my friend!

sofarsogood74: Sorry I just need to point out one glaring LIE. China has got deep water ports and Super container carriers use them every day. You just make up stuff. You are a sad liar.

A bit of dishonesty coming from you here Shotstopper. Seems you feel the need to quote out of context to aid your flaccid case but, that's no surprise as the insults and fallacies are coming faster and more often now.

Here was my quote in it's entirety, what you portrayed as my quote is in bold;

""However the real problem will then be where to port them when they go round the globe as China does not have deep water ports or status of forces agreements with most of the nations on earth. ""

So, sorry to ask how you know but, where are all these deep water ports they have access to around the globe that will support their carriers?
