BKN59: Who do you trust with your cash? It's not a question of who do you trust with it. It's who do you trust to pay you back.
My daughter If I give her any money better make sure it's a gift!!! She has this magic wand that makes money disappear (no matter how large the amount) never ever ever to be seen again!!! Love her, magic wand and all!!
patmac: Got rid of all my Euros......Now where did I put them old Drachmas???
Looking dodgy all over at the moment.....Planning a holiday is not so good at the moment ....Even Cyprus is looking bad.
Hi Pat
Just got back from Cyprus two days ago. Probably the best time to go is now, everyone is biting yer hand off, discounts and very negotiable prices galore! Cheap as chips.....
Just too piggin' hot...! Chilli pepper red is NOT attractive, nor is the aroma of seared flesh...

So who is the last person on the planet that you would loan money to? In my opinion I would loan money to a freind that is unemployed. But greatly depending on their circumstance. I was once unemployed myself and had my back against the wall financially. I had a very good freind loan me $300 to help out. Out of my sense of personal honor and love for my freind I pulled out all stops to repay them. Loaning money to a co-worker is iffy at best. I'd do so, but within limits. Nothing over $5. And you can always lie and tell them you're broke. But giving money to a relative???? OOOHHH HELL NO!!!!! I would advise anyone NOT to loan money to a relative. Above and beyond. For some strange reason relatives don't feel that they have to pay you back becaue they are exactly that. Relatives. And they'll always use that as a weapon against you. Buyer beware.

Call me silly, but I think that I know when it's okay. I have had some moments to where had I not had friends bail me outunconsitionally, I would have been in bad shape and I was for sure to make it right with them by repaying asap . I always try to remember that I may need help again one day .

Bronze33: I learned the hard way not to lend a lot of money to coworkers. $20 until payday is fine, but not more than that.
I always loaned money to employees, but as you say, not usually more than 20.00. (A few times I broke this rule). However, I really, really think it is bad business to loan to people at work. The reasons are more social than any other--it becomes awkward for both parties and for the most part, everyone working has money struggles, etc... Even if you are able to loan, it's best to say something like, "I really can't. I'm upside down on bills for awhile, and wondering what I'm going to do". People who ask for loans usually have a chronic problem with money-management, and short-term loans of 20 bucks only disable them further.
