Who in their right mind would have a scorpian for a pet?
I think that part of owning a pet is the companionship you gat from it. In my mind this would eliminate a snake, lizard, fish, turtle, spider, and a scorpian.

I don't know, turtles are quite cute. I do agree with you about the companionship a pet gives.

Hi Jan, Some people have chickens and pot bellied pigs for pets. To me they are livestock and don't belong in the house. I think a pig is smart enough to potty train but a chicken? No Way.

The father of one of my students had a farm and a couple of pigs which were given pet names and apparently adored. They eventually ended up in a family "Matanza" (pig slaughter and barbecue) and enjoyed by all.

janie1305: Yikes! What happened? Was it a stray cat?
No it was a friends cat. I was removing some tree stumps in her garden when the hound and her cat confronted each other. It looked like the hound had come off worse, his face badly scratched and bleeding, but the cat suffered a badly broken leg and had to be put down.

What an awful situation. My brother experienced something similar with his staffie many years ago. I hope you are both still friends.
Happygolucky4u: I was going to say pet rock then I gave it some thought I could even find several uses for that. So I am back to pondering this question
Jazzhands29: just a random most useless pet to own poll.
Why does a pet need to have a use? If a pet entertains a person, makes them happy, or teaches them to care for someone else, wouldn't that be a use for the pet?
