serena123: Firstly.. We are not breaking ANY CS rules by stating in our profile that we are "in a relationship" as the site Gives us that option!
And secondly.. How the h.ll do we (people who are not looking) hinder YOU in any way from finding a mate?? Free site, free choice.. I for one like logging onto the forums now and again, also the poetry section, and I stay for that .. Because I Can! ... Thank you

Well said!thumbs up handshake

Many have given up finding someone here and are only here for the forums or other reasons. Many don't believe in long-distance relationship - just another reason for not finding someone.

Rogerzoekt: I see sooooo many comments of people that are not single(anymore) and or not looking.
What the H..... are you still doing here?

It polutes the pool in which we singles want to fish.

Why stay on the train after you've reached your destination??

To "help" us with your "experiences"??

At the end of the day, does it really matter? Although the name of the site is Connecting Singles, the options are available to anyone when setting up a profile. The search tools are intended to help you filter out who you want to find. When I first joined the site, I was put off by it the same way you are now and learned to accept it for what it is...less stressful that way. Twisted knickers truly do hurt after awhile. wine

i don't really see how folks who have met their partner on here and remain here in contact with friends made along the way hinders your ability to meet someone...confused

perhaps you should join 'connecting whiners'...

Well, i see. Mauss does his (german) name pride by showing the size of his brain which seems to be the size of a mouse indeed. ;)

We can start a little private session of how adventurous you think I am or maybe you can show how adventurous you are.

I think I can beat you on that part. Ofcourse maybe you have a bigger imagination than i have.
Its nice to know that at least you can tell me I'm not looking.

You mean you found a partner for me and didn't tell me??
Thanks mate, bring her over.
I'm not going to debate about our profiles, for I have no intention however to watch yours, but. I hope you enjoyed reading mine.

And its not that the ones not single have no right to stay here, I just wonder why they do? Whats in it for them, the forums??
And like I said, the pond is already very full, cleaning out the fish that do not want to be caught helps the fishers saving the bait.

Sorry for polluting the pool, but I believe there are far more scammers than people not seeking a partner on this site. Just an observation I've made.

This is one of many forums I post on, and I often meet up with members on each of them for social nights out. I see them all as methods to expand my network of friends and have managed to pair one of my friends with a member I met on here. They're both extremely happy together.

I understand this man's frustration. If you are seriously looking you spend a lot of time browsing profiles. If lots of them are in relationships then most of your time is wasted. If they don't state on their profile that they are in a relationship then you waste even more time contacting them just to find out they are already taken or not here to find a partner.

Maybe they can show available on the profile where you can see it without opening the profile so you know not to open the ones without available on it. dunno

There is that option already. It's called the search function. It's nice and easily placed next to the Mail at the top of the screen

If people can't use that, then it beggars belief how they managed to sign up.

What's in it for us? .. Well I found my soulmate on CS ( in amoungst all the pollution) :) so I love the site, also, debating on the forums beats watching T.V.. So I enjoy it. As for finding someone for you? Well, can't do that, go to the gallery, look at the thousands of photos, message, and just be your charming self comfort

It's one of the functions OP doesn't seem to know about, otherwise he'd know how to keep his pool nice and clean.

I did not indeed.

Got to have a look at that.
:)

Still, i think there's better things to do than posting on dating sites if you're not wanting to date, but hey, thats just my opinion.

Everyone needs a hobby I guess.

Happy to help. Hopefully, you'll find someone special using all the filters. Just makes it easier for you to only search for what YOU'RE looking for, rather than every female in the area, only to find out that half are smokers, not looking or just something you're not interested in for whatever reason.

I post on here as well as other forums or sorting out the admin side of sites I moderate on, and on another monitor, I'm doing some work related stuff or playing a game.
Until my partner comes home, then it's shut down the PC's and enjoy the time together.
