mollybaby: You can gain it, as muscle is heavier than fatIt isn't all about weight
Exactly. Losing adipose is a simple matter,....burn more calories than consumed,....but weight may actually increase! Muscle is indeed heavier than fat.
Of course, you can lose weight in a gym. But then again, you don't really need to go to gym to lose weight, pedro. Just walk or do some real physical works 30 minutes a day for 6 months, you will see you that you have become a slim man
You can lose weight anywhere - the hills, the trees, the rivers: they can be your gym. The whole world is a gym! Although it's much more efficient if the part of the world that is actually a gym, you use as a gym.
Yes and tone too which you might see that not much weight lost but now you are healthier.. I do toning Zumba with weights 3 to 4 times a week and I love it.

I joined a gym recently but couldn't work out how to use the machines until a kind person explained that you press " this 1 for white coffee & "that" 1 for black.

I have no need to join a gym......as i am still capable of peeling a banana.........
of course, use cardiac equipment (treadmills, cross trainers, spin bikes etc) to lose weight and utilise trx style equipment, along with fitball exercises, ab machines and weights tone and build muscle. phew...tired just writing about it??
actually the thing that lost me the most weight ever was giving up cars 18 months ago.
dropped 8 kilos carrying all that stuff back from my supermarket on foot now. i also walk at the fastest pace i can for several hours every sunday. health is a pretty good feeling on the good days...
Have never taken an interest in gyms. It might work for some that need that environment to become motivated. The time that it takes to prepare for a workout in a gym and the time that it takes to get there, one could have achieved 100 abdominal crunches, 100 freehand squats, 100 pushups, 100 no-weight leg lifts, on the living room floor.
