Hi Tru! Yeah I know there are loads, and some of the best ones are the ones you mentioned! Time for my bed now, nite Tru!
Hard to say, as every era has it's landmark films. One of my favorite films of the silent era is Nosferatu. In the 70's was RHPS. I could probably pick a favorite from every era and genre. Natural Born Killers is a great movie as is Scarface....Please stop me, I am rambling!!

Oh go on! Pick one from each era! Scarface one of my faves. What's RHPS?
There are many great movies from the 40s though 60s that I like. My current top is "America America" by Elia Kazan. Not because of the destination, but because of the story of immigration from that troubled part of the world decades ago. A story of hope and life in the midst of pathos and betrayal. Check it out.
The Crow, starring Brandon Lee. All time greatest Love story. Avenging Angel brought back to life to take the lives of those that tore him and his love from each other and the world on the eve of their wedding.
Kattte: From the 1940's to the 60's Sci-Fi serials and films, the original d*ck Tracy films; the original Batman and Superman movies and Fu Manchu films. Since I got rid of the crap cable TV, now I can finally watch all I really like without ads at half the cost! The few ads that do appear, one click and they are gone.... As far as not having cable tv, I only found one show that I enjoyed and they cancelled it , I believe and that was Elementary...good scripts and stories and characters; no juvenile/ infantile garbage at all.
Originals are always best I think. Elementary is very good. Watched it a few times. It's the most modern Sherlock Holmes I think.
The Quiet Man is one of my all time favourites but I do not know wat era it's from.. U can't get much better than John Wayne with Maureen OHara on the big screen together.
