One’s sense of humour may not appeal to everyone else, as evidenced by interactions on here that can get very ‘sticky’ when jokes are not delivered or received well by others. But we all like to laugh, and we look forward to having a good laugh at situations, people and even ourselves.
So, what’s your sense of humour like? Are you sarcastic, witty, slap-happy? What do you like to joke about and laugh at?
I think my sense of humor is self-enhancing. I can laugh at myself and try to see humor in a lot of things. I wish others could see that in me. Few on cs look for humor imho.
Inexcusably British. Which is to say that any subject can be turned into a joke, even and especially rape. The blasphemous British humour, as the most naturally liberal country in the world the only people who think there's something wrong with you if you believe in a god, not if you don't believe in a god.
And also the American humour that comes through the medium of cartoon. In cartoon format the Americans have the same free speech that we do/did as real people
And I would describe British humour as the type of clever silly that only works in a world of reason. Crystal skulls don't have any healing powers and that's the basis of British humour, to treat serious things ridiculously instead of taking a ridiculous belief seriously as an unsatirisable people.

"...self-enhancing"...? Do you mean 'self-deprecating', Gal? I haven't heard about 'self-enhancing' humour before.

Thanks CC As I like to say you have to take some things with a block of salt.It is very much to that humor is very much to my dislike but somehow on the comedy shows it works.
Better that someone else is the target I guess. Though it does seem to come back around to that person in the end. If I was living elbow to elbow in a small community I'd be claustrophobic-maybe this is how to adapt.Put a verbal boundary up and make it funny but personal.
It is very much to that humor is very much to my dislike, but somehow on the brit comedy shows it works. I really got to replace my phone soon, the auto type on a cracked screen creates horrorific texts.

I grew up watching British comedies - Benny Hill, Are you being served?, Mr. Bean, Desmond's, Allo Allo - which were all hilarious to me. They contained all of the different comedy styles on my poll list, so I guess I like all types of humour!!

Seems that a lot of present day cs forum users cant seem to separate opinions from jokes. And I wish I knew why some of the cs population like to pretend I am serious when they are joking.

Sometimes I can. Were you being sarcastic then...? If so, my bad.
Warped. Hate pranks..they are mean usually. Slap stick usually is dumb. Jokes like these. Guy is putting up a flag pole. Digs the hole, then puts the pole in and pulls out a tape measure. Tries over and over to measure it. By stander says why don't you take it out, lay it down and measure it. First guy snarls..I want to measure the height! Not the width fool! Guys watches a couple guys working. Grumbles..two hours to do that job! I would have gotten it done in fifteen with my nine employees.
