ttom500: Time to change your attack point, Dude.

Newt Grinrich is considering a run for the 2012 Presidential Election.

Historian (not a revisionists)
He has a number of books both coauthored and individually written

Former Speaker of the House

Knows Washington

Organized the popular American Solutions
remember drill here and drill now? that was one of their
ideas & programs

Understands the difference between socialism and capitolism
and can place the difference into a understanding that the
voter can grasp

Is seen often on American TV as a commentator

Likes the the little democractic things of our Government....Constitutional roles of the Presidency,
Congress and Supreme Court

Understands radical Islam

Fought the Cold War against the Ruskies

Newt certainly has longer deeper Resume's than President Obama had a year ago for the position.

He is starting early enough to build a big war chest of donations.

He will not make the same mistakes that John McCain made. He is much more thoughtful and anaylitical.

Better get out your attack Newt G. Handbook.

ttom500: I am sure the 20m DEM that felt she was the best person to run in 2008....are maybe feeling just a little bad the way the Obama
Administration is treating her.

By the way, Dude.....know anyone that has done a study on the Obama administration's ratio of men to women holding Cabinet or SES positions? I have a gut feeling.....that women make up less than 20% of his administration.

We get a little further along.....with more of the SES approved.
I will give you a update to the figure.

ttom500: I listened to President Obama's state of the economy teleprompted
speech yesterday. I have to admit Biblical analogy of building ones home on the sand or the rock had a certain......appeal.

Just that......during Jesus's day I don't think that they had
many banking regulators, auto industry regulators, wall street regulators. Nor did they have gov't earmark funding for such things as the CA Marsh Mouse and studies of what causes pigs to smell, etc, etc, etc.

President Obama says much more work.....needs being done by
his DEM lead gov't....will end this recession and bring back a healthy economy to the country....and the world.

Enter the "savior complex" of far left thinking. Most far lefter have a issue of grave concern...something that they dramatically wish to "change" in this world. With President Obama it is a little broader than a single issue. But the theme of 'change' is a common one with him.

He wants the US out of Iraq. Only in Anawar province the local Iraqi are little nervous to this idea. He wants to fight Islamic terrorism at its base...Afghanistan. Only Islamic terrorism is in many other regions on the world (e.g. the Hijakcing of the Alabama and the Capt 5 days in a lifeboat in the Indian Ocean for example). He wants to stimulate the US economy with massive government spending. Only what really will the American taxpayer get for this massive spending? That house built upon a rock? Or a socialist house of gov't control?

Interesting that while attacking GWB on the foreign wire taps. President Obama administration has flipped..now they are perfectly OK. Interesting that while attacking John McCain as being to much like GWB. President Obama has taken on a Washington reform position that was John McCain's core
position.

But the 'savior complex' is still there with President Obama. To change and make right the preceived wrongs. But can the Iraqi of Anawar province live thru his changes? Can the GNP of the United States grow to meet the cost of the stimulus packages? Can the house of the rock apply, when gov't officials close to President Obama apply socialist programs within the house?

Interesting times indeed.

Wish to know the truth on the Solamian hijacking? That practice of killing the hostage taker(s) if and when they threaten the captive, is long established in both our military and law enforcement agencies.

President Obama did not reinvent the wheel by giving a execute order if and when the pirates threatened the Capt. of the Alabama.

President Obama did not anything more than what his oath of office dictated he should do in such a situation. But was it a timely and well executed mil operation by the SEALS, yes. They and the all the Spec Ops of the US, the SAS of Great Britian,
and other Special Operation groups of France and other countries
do great work in saving lives.

But happened under his watch and yes, he should get full credit for the mil operation.

Shifting gears.

That little American Tea Party that occurring today. 1000s around countries attended tea parties at their local state capitols. President Obama....needs to take look at the composition of them......pretty broad based group and cross cut of the American culture.

To put it simply, people are not happy with the present taxes.
They are also angry with the way liberal media is protraying them.

The issue is something that many in Europe don't understand. Here we have always associated high gov't taxes with the concept of oppression. Taking someone's incomes away is a way to oppress them and to keep them from doing what they freely would do if they had the money.

Where does it goes next? I don't know. But if you begin to read of Sons of Liberty next....then it has begun to cross from the line of political discourse to political revolt.

Fallingman: Just curious.....do you think the US troops should come out of Afghanistan right now? And if you do, is it because Obama is President and therefore everything that happens now must be bad? nice pic by the way!

Not at all. My point was that when the inexperienced junior senator first rose out of obscurity, most of his popularity came from his absolute promise to pull the troops out and end the war first thing. Those who opposed him kept saying it wasn't as simple as all that and it would never happen because it would be madness to just pull out as he suggested... but all the Obama supporters insisted "YES WE CAN"

I find it ironic and very telling that even though he has not done anything he promised, and even though he's now asking for MORE military $$$ and INCREASING the troop size in Afghanistan - many Obama supporters think this is just fine and dandy. To me, that's kind of hypocritical and I think it shows that many Obama supporters are blindly loyal to the "dream" he created and not paying attention to the facts at all.

Wish.....other than our attitudes to the Republican party I don't disagree with you as much as you think. I don't like messianic stuff either or hypocrisy. Ironically, I'm not really a Republican and this topic has nothing at all to do with party lines. It's a simple matter of reason and logic - and how the public's perception is blindly skewed in favor of this candidate.

I don't fault Obama for his actions in the war. I DO fault him for deliberately making outrageous campaign promises which I'm sure he knew he could not fulfill in order to get the vote. To me...that's a lie and he knew it all along. I also fault the public for basing it's opinions on pretty words simply because they sound good to their ears. It's lazy and complacent.

We have serious problems all across the globe and this guy is making irreversible changes to our culture... It's time to for everyone to take off their partisan "party hats" and start looking at things OBJECTIVELY. If you were to take Obama's actions to date and attribute them to GWB...liberals would be screaming all across the board.

If you want to talk about treason..just take a look back at what was said and done by liberals during the GWB administration. It was far more outrageous and damaging...not to GWB but to our nation in general.

Stimulus packages have been and continue to be, put in place here in Australia also.

I don't think any stimulus package was ever intended to prevent all those foreclosures from occurring. Their fate was sealed long before the stimulus packages.

Economists across the globe seem to be largely in agreement with this general trend of the need to implement such dramatic measures, which on the surface seem to be purely plunging nations deeper into recession. Without these measures, however, these experts maintain the picture would be diabolical, even worse than without the S/P's.

venere08: Stimulus packages have been and continue to be, put in place here in Australia also.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm no economist so I wouldn't even attempt to address that part of the argument.

My point is that Obama's team pushed through that first huge stimulus package by promising IMMEDIATE relief.... and it's only gotten much worse. In the meantime, he has incurred a tremendous debt for our country which could very well be crippling...

At what point will people stop listening to the pretty words and start looking at the facts???
