went alone after my 2nd divorce......had lost a lot of friends because of him and so i had noone to go with and i needed to prove to myself that i didn't "need" anyone for me to have a good time........it was great therapythumbs up

Yup sure have, usually choose a movie that is unpopular or has been at the theatre for ever, then you can really be alone.

It's nice to watch a movie without interruptions.

Yes. Because then no-one sits there talking to me through it!! Plus sometimes I really want to see a movie...and if no one else wants to...im not missing out!!
Has everyone here been on a date to the movies? Cos i made that mistake one time and let the guy choose the movie...and he was sooo engrossed in it i didnt even get a kiss!! So i chose the next one....girly chick flick...and all he wanted to do was make out through it.... i decided we would rent videos next time instead!! its cheaper and you're more likely to see the whole thing!!!!!! christmas happy

I said never, but occasionally wasnt precises.. I think I was once or twice (I am 46 after all and cant remember every detail wink ) but I dont like going to watch a flick by myself.

I want to share my thoughts after.

However, I preferred going into nightclubs by myself for many years.

Later there was a time where we went in a crowd. Aussies are sooo much fun in crowds. cheering

i would be that guy LOL even if it where a chick flick... when i go to the theater i want to see the movie.

i don't mind a little chatter... but will not try making out in a theater...maybe the parking lotlaugh

So i have been a few times alone back in the 70s and 80s STAR WARS ROCKEDhead banger

but i have two daughters so being alone in the theater is only a myth to me.grin

Whenever I was a teenager, that was one of the ways I met girls. There was always girls my age at the theatre on a weekend. I'd slide right up and introduce myself, then voila....instant movie date.

I never have, I wouldn't have any problem with it though if there was something I really wanted to see. Most stuff I'm content to wait till it comes out on video. My couch is more comfortable than most movie seats, I can go whizz anytime I want to, and the popcorn's way cheaper!
