Probably a lot of answers according to who you listen to...and I'm sure you'll get more responses.I don't care who is nominated and placed on the supreme court if they view justice as blind. The nominee has made some comments that if they came from a white male, he would NEVER be considered for the position.
The job of a supreme court justice is to interprete the law, not to make it. (she's commented that she makes law) Being a constructionist, I think the Constitition should be interpreted as it was written...not what people wish to read into it.

I have read so much crap about appointments to the Supreme Court I reckon its a political game. Liberal v Conservative. Democaratic v Republican and so on.
Also while the Supreme Court can't seem to make new Laws they can rule on what Laws are acceptable under the Constitution.
Either way I think interpretation of the Law is an individual thing. Im sure there has been and will be many debates on the interpretation of the law , before and after her appointment.
Either way I still come back to the point that the Supreme Court should be representative of the people.
JMO though.

I think its a power thing Bebe, between sects and tribes. At least thats my reading on it.
A lot of religion needs to be reformed IMHO , not just Muslims, but that ain't gonna happen overnight if at all.
