9/11 has happened. McGovern has been at ground zero for 3 days.

It was dangerous....McGovern said in the book...first time he knew what really being scared was these first days of the 9/11 clean up. He was 35 at the time. Even with info thin on the attack, McGovern has figured out the country is at war.
He is in a military uniform, a Captian. He is working with a group of firemen. They are coming off a work session and headed to the rest area. A guy comes by....says...."Hey, do you want to meet President Bush?" They say "yes". He says "He will be here in a few minutes. Stand over the by the police yellow restriction tape."

I have been in Kos, Crete, Rhodes, Samos,Scorpio and I have been in Atena as well and I saw a lot solar panels on roofs there! Of course I have not seen all Greece but I talked to people there and asked a bout the solar panles because that interests me a lot, and was told it has helped greek economy and with out those the situation would be even worse !

I've been to Crete and 13 other islands and have seen SOME solar panels here and there, but the typical island population is so minimal compared to Athens and you don't see solar panels much in this heavily-populated city. Also, many of the fine homes and hotels on the islands are built, owned, and/or operated by foreigners and funded from foreign capital. This is important to note because the incentive...the desire to use solar energy for economic AND environmental reasons is coming from outside of Greece. It's not really helping Greek economy, but it is beneficial to the owners and to energy savings.
As for electing Karamanlis...well, as I am not Greek, I don't vote here. Guess where I vote, Dude????

Many of the links you posted were for companies who are starting to manufacture photovoltaic panels here. Great! I'm glad to see that. But setting up manufacturing plants now for future use, although a step in the right direction, does not equate to an abundance of solar panels already in use or on the rooftop of a typical home or apartment building here. Yes, they exist, but not to the degree to which you make it sound. It's a growing technology and I'm glad to see it happening, but it's hardly a prevalent trend at this time.
And, please note again...I am not Greek. I don't vote here. I have nothing to do with choosing the elected officials in this country. I'm not sure how else to say that to make it clear.
As for me getting a solar panel for my apartment here? It's not my building. I don't own it.

You go to a major corp board meeting. First they give the treasury report. The treasurer stands before you and says.....we having a great year. Liquid and deep sales. Things are peachy keen.
15 mintues later the President of the firm, gives his report on the state of the company. He says we in the most desperate of times, sales are tanking, costs are sky rocketing. The end is near.
Want to buy stock in the company?
It is a confidence thingee, yes? DC is sending mixed signals. Ever date a girl that gave mixed signals? The date was never any fun until you were standing at the door to say good night.:-)
If the president of the company actually says: the end is Near then sure...... no body is going to be stupied enough to buy stock in that company ! You are talking aobut the sate of the ameircan economy as Obama expresses it and actually he have never told things like: the End is near or stuff like tha, but he surely admits that America is in a kind of desperate times and thats why all americans must doing their best to get America out of the current economical situation which happened because of the Bushonomics and their stupied regim of wars and suppression and surviolence and lies .
What else should he do? Being a damn Lier as those Bushney,s and not telling ameircans that America have been in economical deppression since December 2007?????
What could be done in the right direction if the Bushney,s had not silenced regarding that horrible Fact which even me talked about in my early Obama threads?
If they had not hold the truth back from americans then America could be in a better shape to day but hell no....... the old criminal minded regim of yours TT needed time to milk more money out of americans pocekts and hidden as much as possible in secret accounts before they would be flashed deep in toilet by americans votes later and they needed to send money to people like the stupied georgian president for example so he could begin a war with Russia if their candidate would do bad in the ellection, and they needed to use what ever amount of money possible to remove proofs of their regims criminal acts agaisnt humanity in other countries before they disapeered......
So they did not tell any thing about the real state of american economy and the effort for svaing american economy was delayed for a year at least and that FACT alone means the old regim of the Bushney,s was nothing than than a group of liers and crooks and american haters dressed as else !
