First let me assess your position to extend the problem of N.Korean and Iran nucs into the global Nuc Community by having every one in the world give control of their nucs to the UN.

How well did the UN control the Iraq Oil for Food program for Iraq? This you need to face this squarely and say honestly it was a disaster. So why in the world should the US have confidence that the UN would be able to control the world's nucs safely?

I surely don't know what the later part of your post refers to that nucs are any more barbaric than other biologic or chemical or conventional weapons leads. The fire bombing of Dresden and Toyko was done without nuc. The plague of unstoppable biologic or chemical agent is going to take lives in the millions as well.
So why are nucs the center poster child for being a barbaric weapons system? OH because the US once used them to end a war.

Dude, plain and simple now. Territorial sanctions can help stop this crisis of today from being a war today. That is here and now. That is today's living and breathing people. That is a fire ball over a major asian or middle east or European city today.

Far left does this all the time. You take the past history and
and jump to a global view that the only solution requires mass dollar, effort, and cooperation. When sometime....no many times....easier to find a small specific solution have one organization (in this case the UN) take care of the problem.

For the UN to add territorial sanctions to thier list of sanctions, they have a vote on the UN floor and they have a security council vote, and done deal. The UN imposes the sanction when it needs to.

The world is not reshaped.

What you ask is for 15 countries in the NUC club to all aggree...to hand over thier nucs to the UN. That is 15 different legislative approval, that is 15 executive office negotiated treaties, that is 15 countries either sending thier nuc to some UN control point or having the UN lock and key them in the host country. Millions if not Billion in dollars cost to those NUC countries. And they are not the problem....Iran and NKorea are the problem.

I think territorial sanctions of two countries is easier and simpler that trying to 'de nuc' the world.

the so called Notrht Korean leader is a mntally ill person of the worse kind because he is on power in a country with nuclear tecnology and he sure is really dangerous and not easy to figur out at all. Some how his regim is showing teeth ot the new american regim and surely Norht Korea is really under presur because of the sanctions and maybe new delas making sure they get fuel and food and medicin will hlep the situation some how? If some body takes him out or some ting the situation will stabilises as well I am certain but other than those methods I have no idea how to dela with this regim because relaly this guy is a lunetic and not easy to think reasonably about what so ever.

Iran? well........ this Ahmadinejd is going a way not many days from now and ther ewill be a new presidne tthere and surely the next one will be more civilised in the way he talks beause I am sure Ahmadinejad became a sad reality because of the kind of regim in America and the way hard talks becamse the one and only way of communication between America and Iran. I hope the new presidnet over there will be easier to deal with and evne the real "president" over there is the so called holy leader Ayatollah but still I "guess" the iranian regim have began to rethink its stupied strategies and they know Barack Obama means business and they are tired of the many sanctions agaisnt them and a very destroyed economy because of the same.

Just kidding Dude. Trying to get the UN to gang up on Pres. A and Prem. Kim is likely a bad idea. Not fair when someone big gangs up on the little guy. That old Iraq and USA thingee....where the underdog should not be picked on.

It is not like the EU walked out on Pres. A the last time he had a meeting with them. Or that Prem Kim is so well liked in the Asian region, that no one gives his country any financial credits.

Because as you wrote earlier, the left wants total world nuc disarmanent. What a better way to prove to the world, that such total nuc disarmenent should be done, than to have a few nucs go off or to have a crisis with nuclear terrorism in some cities (any city will do) from a couple of rogue nations.
