No not joking. His job took him out of town and our paths never crossed again.

During the late 60's I am sure it happened a lot.

curiousgeorge2: recently I had an OLD fame IM me, at first, I had no clue who it was, but 7 days later, I was wishing I had no INSTANT messenger.

anyone else had this experience ?


My ex contacted me on Facebook. Was so glad to hear he was happy with his new wife. I always thought he was a good man jut not the one for me though. So overall it was a pleasant experience.

WOW !

I can say I have never been in that situation, however I did have DNA tests done on my kids after I found that the Dear wife, had slept with MOST every friend I ever had ! they all turned out to be mine. and I have them, well not my daughter, she has her OWN kids now. I am REALLY getting old !

I bet my son's dad said/is thinking the same thing. That is why I would love to be able to tell him.

I lived near a military base during the Vietnam War and I know there are many guys that have kids they know nothing about. I worked for Social Services and met many of them. Facebook, My life, and other sites are the new here's your daddy. lol

Old. I am a great grand mother (5 Great grand kids). Now that is old lol

that question did come up with my daughter but I have no doubts, She looks just like my neese at her age. they could be twins so I have no doubt my family dna is strong with this one.

I did run into the first guy I was with 35 years later at a party at my sister's house. She thought it would be funny for us to meet again. devil

When I saw him all I could do was thank my lucky stars he ditched me. Better a broken heart for a few weeks that a broken life forever.

I wasn't shocked when his wife said" I wish he had kept you".

A few chats on facebook was enough to catch up. It was actually a good experience for me to resolve some issues and move on. I used to think about him quite abit, now very rarely.

If I went back 30 years, it'd be my first girlfriend. And yeah, so much time gone by since, more than half our lifetimes, that sure I'd talk with her. It'd probably amount to some wistful joking and laughing about the other folks we knew back then. Thirty years is a long time.

My childhood sweetheart contacted me through Friends Reunited 40 years after he dumped me and called to see me when he was in the area visiting family.

It was interesting to meet up again although I didn't recognise anything about him, not even his smile, and I'm sure he'd shrunk, can't remember being taller than him!

He's on wife no. 4 now so his roving eye was still letting him down but I hope he's happy now and has found what he was looking for. He did me a favour although I didn't realise that when I was 16 and heartbroken!

Na! he was my first love in my early 20's he was 10 years older than me. memory's are nicer than reality that is how I feel about it, can't turn back time, move forward daydream
