RE: What is a Soul?

Now Mr Stringman...
Can you prove what you just said?

How do you know it to be true? uh oh

RE: What is a Soul?

What a pity Herbie..
LJ suggested you look into Shamanism...well..
You know where to find me?

RE: What is a Soul?

Well Herbie...you started the ball rolling...
Maybe you should refer people to the Existence blog..then the Truth one?dunno

Everybody will have their own truth...then you'll have to ask to define and confirm Existence.

RE: What is a Soul?

And...btw...some people are born soulless.

RE: What is a Soul?

Yeah..let's wait for Mr String shall we?

RE: What is a Soul?

Hmmm...A bit deep thinking for you Herbie on Monday night isn't it? dunno

Like you said..why should you care about what happens to your soul ?

RE: Visiting the Doctor

I seldom go to the doctor and I'm not a very good patient anyway.

I used to have a very good man doctor but...like all good things...he came to an end.

Since he has been replaced by a young woman doctor I never go.
I normally use self remedies anyway.

Here you need to make an appointment at the medical center where there are about 10 doctors on duty but you always see the same one you've been allocated to.
Quite good service really...for free!

RE: What Is Reality?- Part 1 (The Question)

Good question Herbie wink

I see I got the ball rolling with my definition of existence blog.laugh

RE: What Is Reality?- Part 1 (The Question)

I believe that this world we live in is only an "illusion" and only looks "real"... in our eyes and interpretation using our five senses.

As Shakespeare once said: "The whole world is a stage and we´re just actors upon it".
Did he know then something that we didn´t know at the time but.... slowly discovering? hmmm idea

RE: lol

Good horse! head banger

Stupid human! doh

RE: Fruit(less) Endeavour

Thank goodness I don't have any problem with buying fruit from my local market... All the exotic fruits you didn't even know existed....as well as pure honey that comes direct from the beekeepers.

Since I only eat fruit and veges I make sure they come from the local farmers and haven't been sprayed. cheering

RE: The Ladybird Book of Mr. Good

What about my comments Herb?dunno

RE: The Ladybird Book of Mr. Good

No...only recycling.grin

RE: The Ladybird Book of Mr. Good

Now...regarding this mortgage thingy...
If I understand it right...
The bank lends you money ...which you never see! ...in order to buy some property which is not officially yours and belongs to the bank for an X number of years.

In others words...they control you ...and there's nothing you can do about it...and not even a god can save you?

And when they start putting those chips in you...if you refuse you won't even be able to draw money from the bank ...which doesn't even exist in the first place.doh

RE: The Ladybird Book of Mr. Good

What an interesting story.rolling on the floor laughing

Now.. I have a question about that guy called "God"?
I know I should be asking a philosopher but...can't find one at the moment...?

Can you prove that he exists?

Or...do I need to write another blog about existence?confused

RE: Tension in the aisles

YES I am Herb... At least I think I am..Why? Do you need me?

I'm having a hard time on the forums at the moment.
Now I've learned not to post such controversial topics.
Maybe I'll just stick to some simple topics such as Existence ? innocent

RE: Tension in the aisles

I think I have already Herb wink

RE: Tension in the aisles

I agree with Marlin too but...

Regarding the "grumpy old man"...
Do you want the job Herbie?

You'll need to go to 2 supermarkets about twice a week as one has foreign products and Mercadona hasn't but better selection for fruit and vegetables...and cheaper too!

Then another shopping expedition to the Sunday market where you need to look for bargains.

RE: Tension in the aisles

I hate shopping and that's that!
I usually try to be in and out as fast as I can.
But...often bump into people who want to have conversations...about chips..or existence...
And some who need a translator.

RE: How to write good

RE: In the alphabet soup of life, I pick aitch

Now, I´d like to share an interesting story, for those who don´t know about the Japanese...

When living in Germany, I had 3 Japanese visitors who came on business and I invited them to our house as I was supposed to entertain them during their stay.
This was their first time in Europe and their English was just basic.

Anyway, when introducing themselves, I asked them for their first names and also to write them down - with the Roman alphabet, of course!
Then, they were very surprised to hear us pronouncing their names the way it should be.
A sudden conversation went on between the three of them and I didn´t have a clue about what they were talking about? conversing uh oh

Then... the spokesperson decided to translate it in English and said that we were the only ones who could pronounce their names as they had not had much luck with the Germans, so far!

Then... I had to give them a lesson about the different languages in Europe....
They had assumed that there was only ONE common language!

So I gave my son´s name (Jonathan) as an example and how it was pronounced in various languages.

That really made their day and they had to make notes in their little books so they could tell their colleagues at work.
I myself had learned a lot too during their stay. thumbs up

RE: In the alphabet soup of life, I pick aitch

What about the H in french..... a s h.... ?

The J in spanish has always been my problem but... in Catalan, or Portuguese, pronounced j a h is just right for me.

Imagine my son´s name being "Jonathan" - in German: Yonatan.... French: Jonatan (ge) and Spanish... and Portuguese?doh

RE: You've changed

Ok, after giving it some thought....and reading the comments...

I can´t say that I ever had to change with any of my relationships but, becoming and being the person I really am!

I also go along with what that Crazy lady said... thumbs up banana

RE: You've changed

Hmm...very good question but I have to think hard before answering...? confused
