Hi Fay.. My kids "broke my heart" quite a few times.
I also broke my father´s heart when I was about 5 saying I wanted to marry a black man when I´m older. At that time I was living in Paris where there are many black people but there were also quite a few Americans. Strangely enough, I´ve always been attracted to black men and quite a few have come across my path since.
Another time was when I was a teenager and cut my hair, just to defy my father who was always so proud of my long hair. But, in a way, I was punishing myself and have never cut it since.
Anyway, nice to hear that your son is now happy with his family.
Well...I'm not looking for a partner but... I've met my lovely Irishman.. .beautiful voice..lovely accent..sings and plays the guitar and even writes his own songs. He's also a sapio..and we're on the same wavelength.
He lives in Ireland and is not a blogger. That's it! Just friends as long as it lasts.
Well, French people - and Spanish too, in fact! - are known for using a lot of body language and talk mostly with their hands. As a joke, it is also said that if you tie a french person´s hands behind their back, they cannot speak.
I used to do that a lot when talking on the phone with my family until someone pointed it out to me..
As far as operas are concerned, I love many. The three tenors, of course! And..... Nessun Dorma.. A 10-year old spanish girl won the Voice competition with that opera. She is a prodigy and sings like Maria Callas.
I saw that on TV yesterday and also wrote a blog last year about "deadly selfies", enclosing some pictures of the idiots taking selfies in front of some 10m high waves we had in northern Spain. Some of them actually drowned taking those photos.
This is all an Ego boasting as far as I am concerned.
I believe in BOTH. Things happen as a consequence of our choices, hence they happen for a reason. Maybe it´s something that we have been subconsciously putting some thought into - remember, thoughts are very powerful! Or, it may be the reason for some of our actions?
Remember that things do not happen TO us,..... but FOR us! In order to teach us lessons and for us to learn and grow.
Herbie...the family member I was referring to was in MY family unfortunately. He was only 16 when he started after the death of his father. It was very hard for the mother...and the rest of the family.
I can't remember last time I shook hands with somebody?? .certainly not since I've been in Spain!
Here we kiss or hug EVERYBODY! Your neighbours...someone at the office...your solicitor...doctor etc...
Even for first time meetings when introduced to someone new. It suits me fine and I soon got used to this kind of affectionate display and informality.
