RE: What’s Your EASY WAY TO BE HAPPY?

Joy, that's a great description of how Buddhist come across to me as;; people who avoid confrontation but that's cool, each to their own poison i say..
Myself i like to be as straight up as possible, but i'm trying to be a bit more diplomatic when being straight up so as not to tread on so many toe's.. but that's dam impossible and i still fall the good 2shoes band wagon often..

RE: What’s Your EASY WAY TO BE HAPPY?

Joy, the polyanna principle sounds like lying to yourself to find a better mood or see an outlook that isn't there in reality... i have no problem with this; what people choose is there choice, if it causes no harm then its ok until it does cause some harm..

RE: What’s Your EASY WAY TO BE HAPPY?

I like the happy moron poem Joy, i can relate to that.. thumbs up

RE: What’s Your EASY WAY TO BE HAPPY?

Being totally honest even if it means going against the grain of the masses, or standing alone with ideas..
Never being afraid to get anything wrong, never being afraid to admit you are wrong..

RE: could you live in a van ???

Nice V i could live on a 9 meter sailboat, i love sailing..
I don't know about a van thou ED, maybe a really big van that can fit my dirtbike, mountain bike, diving and fishing gear in it.. but i think that's called a motorhome..

RE: Happy New year hmmmm

My cat is the same Emmy, its responsible for bringing mice into my place to.. It will bring in birds, baby rabbits, frogs, lizards and mice inside if i don't watch it;; then my cat will just play them to death..

RE: They had a White Christmas in the Florida Keys...

Nice little score for the border patrol people, there was probably 36 packages the fisherman took 4 and border patrol staff took the other 6.. that's the way it rolls ain't it Chat;;;

RE: How do people spend the Christmas in their counrties?

Hey Melody, its the middle of summer here.. Xmas is normally super hot, have plenty of cold drinks and stay out of the mid day sun is always a must..
No lockdowns here everything is pretty normal, i'm looking forward to cooking and eating some food..

RE: Advice Needed from cs Experts please.

If that's an African grey Mels, that would only be a starter for Xmas lunch.. looks yum though..

RE: Advice Needed from cs Experts please.

Ring its neck Luke, and instead of having turkey for Xmas dinner try some African grey..

RE: "No Thanks"

The mother of my cousins kids pulled her kids out of school back in april and she haven't sent them back, she is home schooling them to.. my cousin is not happy that they are not back at school and i did share his opinion for a little time, now after thinking about it over time i see it from a different point of view.. I see the mother taking more responsibility for her kids than many, in the way of protecting her kids from infection and protecting them from God know what vaccines they are going give kids just to attend school..
I'm all for home schooling at this stage of covid and for as long as it drags on.. thumbs up

RE: When someone in your extended family is a felon.

We all have some bad eggs in the family basket Phil, that's just the way life is.. there are a some people who are straight up criminals, and there are people who are goody to shoe people that throw down criminal actions to..
Better just to keep your distance from the criminals even the christian ones, and try not take in to much gossip from other family members about others; judge people by your own personal experiences with them, not on the word of others..

RE: Let Destiny Decide?

Misschelli, many things are better off when you don't try at all.. it's much easier to wait for unexpected time rather than expected time, expectation can lead to disappointment..
If you don't look for love so hard maybe it will fall into your lap unexpected, don't sweat it at all and i'm sure things will pan out pretty close to what your plan is..

RE: mail order brides..

American women ain't up to the job aye Ed, what job Ed laugh I was expecting a lot more come back from women worldwide on this one Ed.. scold

RE: Things are falling into place (education blog)

You make some great points Edison, if i was in Phils shoes i would do the car and lite truck licenses first then try out some driving jobs.. maybe driving a courier van to start with and see how that goes, then move on to lite trucks if courier driving goes well;; there's a lot of hours away from home in long haul trucking, you basically live in your truck or in motels at truck stops if your lucky..

RE: Okay, I'm ready, Mr. Moderator.

Don't sweat it Harbs, be your natural self mate.. thumbs up

RE: Okay, I'm ready, Mr. Moderator.

Hey Harbs, just saying hello mate wave good to see ya back on the blog bandwagon after falling off a few times..

RE: All Saints' Day

We don't have any particular day to remember people that have lost their physical body to death, well that's the way i describe it Melody.. Here in NZ people are normally remembered during long weekends or holidays, everyone is a little bit different in their ways of remembering lost ones..
Myself it's no flowers, lighting of candles or praise because it comes across as trying to impress the other living people there at the time.. I would say most people here do the same as you have described and that is all good, for me its not worth holding any person in such high regard because no person can vouch for your soul when it comes time to take responsibility for thoughts, words and actions you took in this physical life test that we have a chance at..

RE: COMPULSORY VACCINATION

Your right Dedo there's a lot of cover up's by the different pharmac companies, doctors and so called experts that do the research and tests, and to much trust given by the general public... Also these companies that are researching and making the vaccines are immune from being sued by any govt, even if their product causes death.. You also have to ask the question what terms come with the vaccine, like will a govt be able to test it, will they be allowed to reverse engineer it to find out whats really it and maybe improve the vaccine.. also would you trust Chinese, Russian or US vaccines ?

A couple of years ago here in NZ we had a deadly flu that was killing kids and older people, there was a doctor in my area that was pushing for compulsory vaccinations nation wide.. but that really didn't sit well with a lot of people and the doctors idea was trashed, but that doctor is still try it on to this day..
Flu vaccines are voluntary here and should be a voluntary thing everywhere, vaccines go into your body like food; what next are they going to control what you eat..

RE: Quarantine Day 3!

America and Europe seem to be the worst at dragging their feet in this covid crisis, the borders have been closed here since April and they are still not fully opened..

RE: Mudguards

Acorn your christian point of view is a bit far fetched in the physical world, you should come riding dirtbikes with me.. my christian view of riding dirtbikes is very fair and simple, i sling dirt at everyone equally with no descrimination against anyone's age, gender or race... sometimes it doesn't seem equal but its up to you to position yourself not directly behind my back wheel, or grow a pair and move up to the pointy end of the field;;

RE: Mudguards

I brought me a mountain bike about 3 or 4 months ago, i was looking at buying mudguards for my bike back then but i decided not to.. i just didn't ride my bike when it was wet over winter, now it's hard to get a day with rain in it..
There's a lot more people out riding bikes since covid happened, also a lot more people out fishing here in NZ and the rescue chopper has been pretty busy already;; we have had 2 drowning in my area already and it's not even summer yet..
I haven't heard of any people getting hurt out on the cycle tracks yet, but the cycle tracks are pretty tame..
The bike shops will be busy through covid as people find different thing to do with their time, another thing that's popular in my area is dirtbikes;; there are 3 times as many around as normal and the motorbike shops had sold out of all their kids bikes the last time i was there, I might have to get back into motorbike mechanical work once these dirtbikes start to brake down and wear out towards the end of summer..

RE: Truck driver? Yeah, looks like it!

Here in NZ the driver license classes go from 1 to 5, 1 being a car license, 2 lite truck up to about 4 to 5 ton, 3 lite truck and trailer, 4 heavy truck up to about 18 to 20 ton, 5 heavy truck and trailer..
I can't remember how long it took to get my the licenses up to class 4, but i started my lite truck license on a free course.. then to get my other license classes 3, 4 and WTR ( wheels, tracks, rollers ) i worked for a earthworks company;; these licenses cost $800 all up, but it would have been double that if i wasn't using the companies machines.. working in earthworks gave a lot of practice on all types of machines off the roads, truck drivers can get some big fines out on the roads here Phil.. they will let you know on your course of your weight limits, load security, load heights etc and the fines you can get if you fail to stay with in the limits..
Good luck with it all Phil..

RE: Looking for a place to live is stressful!

Good to see ya back Phil, i thought you may have got sick for a while after your last blog i didn't realize you have already had covid.. The new room is not working out so good, well i'm sure you will find another room with better flat mates..

RE: :LOCKED...AND LOADED"

How many days have you guys got to get your votes in ? here we had 2 weeks to vote instead of just the 1 day because of covid..

RE: I've Not Seen Merc Here Lately - (aka "A Prior Chatting Blog")

Merc has probably gone to Bathurst today, should be a good race with 3 kiwis in the top 10 shoot out..

RE: Upset stomach, headaches and a new Lamborghini.

Hydration for your headache Phil, A little bit of apple cider vinegar with honey in your water is really effective.. As for your guts ache just watch what you eat and hit the throne when needed...

Nice Lambo alright Phil, i like the orange one..

RE: White Shark...

It will be interesting to see the travels of that white shark, the whites down this way travel from cold south island waters all the way up to the tropics in Tonga..

RE: Summer 2.0

It seems to be the norm Track, mid summer here is just before christmas and temperature doesn't drop until mid april... could mean a longer growing season for some..

RE: Life

It's time to think for yourself and not rely on what so called experts say or what you have been taught, show some individual talent..
