I let go of my past pretty easy. I don’t really dwell on my past.
However, I can’t seem to let go of my husband’s past! He doesn’t think of his past but I’d be reminding him of all the wrongdoings that had been done on him. I guess I just hate ( I know that’s a strong word ) those people that have hurt him in the past...
Yup, only AirAsia for me when I travelled back to Malaysia from Macau. 4-hr flight.
My daughter joined AirAsia 3 years ago. We are now trying to get her over here in the US but that won’t be happening anytime soon due to this pandemic. The US embassy in Kuala Lumpur is not conducting any interview at the moment. I hate to say it to her but she should’ve joined her brother and I when we relocate to the US!
I lived in Taipa. Macau side is too crowded and Coloane is too ‘remote’ with not many shops around.
I really like Macau. Everywhere is so accessible. Oh! I missed those shopping around Red Market. Also those yummy Portuguese egg tart. I prefer Lord Stow ones over those of Margaret’s.
A nice country indeed! I lived there for 6 years. I left in 2013 but has been going back there almost every year to visit friends. Would love to take my Arty there one day to introduce him to my friends!
On our way for some retail therapy. My daughter was only 14 then and was going through her ‘rebellious’ years.
My apartment was just opposite the Macau Jockey Club. I could see them horse racing from the comfort of my balcony
I loved to go over to Zhuhai, China to shop. Before we’d go for our shopping marathon, we’d fill up our bellies with yummy dim sum. My son’s favourite dish, ‘chicken feet braised with black beans’. He could eat up to 15 chicken feet at one sitting!
For his 14th birthday, we took him to have his favourite Dim Sum.
My last trip was just before I relocated to the US, to get a police clearance report that was required by the US embassy in Kuala Lumpur. Managed to meet up with some of my friends and that one week I was there, it was just food, food and more food!
My Arty doesn’t have any baggage at all, believe it or not! It’s this silly MiMi that keeps dragging his ‘baggage’ ( in her stupid mind, she’s convinced he has one! ), much to his annoyance and dislike
That pic was taken in mid-September of last year, a month and a half after I set foot in the US for the first time.
I hope we can go to other apple farms for picking apples this year. I was trying to convince Art to take me to a local lavender and bee farm tour here.
He has agreed but I then changed my mind coz they want $10 for each person. I could get a lot of things from the Goodwill with that amount of money!
Art doesn’t quite like food with pungent spices. He keeps asking me not to force him to eat ‘my’ food. He prefers his type of food.
His daughter sent me a text 3 days ago...
My daughter plans to reside here with me and her brother ( my son ). She has a 10 year US visa and visited Hawaii last year September. However, she’d be needing a different type of visa ( a K-2 visa ) in order to be able to get a green card.
Lots of adjustments when we first got married. We both were and are still set in our own ways when it comes to certain things but there’s one thing that we definitely will not change for the other no matter what.....that is.........sharing of an ice-cream cone! No wayyyyy!!!!
Art is a very very clean man. Very tidy. However, his fitted bedsheet folding skills are totally out!!
This message from my Malaysian girlfriend ( 31 years-old ) was from last week. She was over at my place from 10.30am to 9pm. I packed a variety of food for her when she left.
This one was this morning. She was over here yesterday from 10am to 9pm. I also packed some food for her to bring home.
She’s like a little sister to me. Very smart gal. Very focused in what she wants for her future.
She met up with my daughter when she went back to Malaysia for a 2-week holiday last December. I sent through her some gifts for my daughter and at the same time my daughter also handed her some gifts for me!
My 22 year-old daughter had coffee with her and they chatted for a couple of hours. They hit it off right away coz they both have a lot of same interests.
My daughter is hoping to join me and her younger brother here in Omaha but unfortunately she couldn’t get an interview at the US embassy in Kuala Lumpur. It’s temporarily closed due to the pandemic
I love collecting vintage men, errr...I mean, trays especially enamel tray.
I have close to 60 vintage enamel trays of various sizes. It could have been more if not for the fact I had to relocate to join Art. I brought along like 20 of them in hope that my Arty will see that they will be mounted to the kitchen wall...still keeping my fingers and toes crossed!!
Anyway, here’s just a fraction of my collection.
I want something like this. Got this image from Instagram
I ghosted on my Arty once .....or twice or thrice during the first few months into our correspondence.
He, however, ghosted me once....by accident He had me blocked on Skype without realising it. MiMi, of course was not amused coz no one..NO ONE blocks the MiMi!
RE: Ya just got to love 'em.....
