RE: Photography - recent sunsets

We have ‘dugong’ here.

From the internet :-

They are sometimes called "sea cows" as they eat large amounts of sea grass. They live in warm, shallow areas where the sea grass grows. This area includes the north coast of Australia, and in other countries in the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean.

Dugongs are more closely related to elephants than to other sea creatures. Their closest aquatic relative is the manatee, a fresh water species found in America and West Africa.

RE: Sorry not been online much.

RE: Homeless Vets vs Illegal Aliens

About 10 years ago, I was waiting to board my flight ( a domestic flight ) when the announcement was made asking each passengers to queue up in the correct lane. One for those who have paid for ‘express boarding’ which MiMi didn’t. One lane for those with infants or elderly people, MiMi’s kids were not with her that day and she didn’t even know Art then! laugh and there was a lane for ‘normal’ passengers like MiMi.
On that particular day, there was another lane created for one special group. They were the families of military men that served for our country. Them and their family members ( I’d assume immediate family members ) got to board the aircraft first before all of us ‘normal’ passengers.

Did anyone make a big fuss about it? Of course not!! Coz I don’t think many of us have father, uncles, brothers, spouse, sons, etc...etc...etc....that are ready to die for our country. I know my family members won’t uh oh

When they walked passed us, i silently thanked them for their sacrifices.

RE: This Valentine's Day......

Yesssss! But in my case, I gave him my share of our house ( my share is worth USD$63k ) coz I wanted to.

When being asked by my family members ( even his aunts asked me that! laugh ) and close friends why did I do that I just answered, “I don’t ‘hate’ money. In fact, I worship money! Lol but Art has given me so much of happiness I feel that I have to pass it on to my ex-husband by giving him my share of the house. Honestly, MiMi is very greedy. If it would’ve been millions of dollars, I’d have fought tooth and nail for my share! laugh

RE: THE CHEER LEADER

Arty just woke up and read your blog. He pointed out a mistake. It’s not ‘CWS’ but ‘college football’ Sorry doh

RE: THE CHEER LEADER

We’ll see about that when MiMi gets there wink

Well, I might just change my mind....if Arty still lets MiMi go shopping after the game! laugh

RE: THE CHEER LEADER

Art always buy 4 tickets during the CWS. Arty, his daughter and her husband and one more ticket for anyone that Art fancies to bring that year. At times, his daughter will bring her friend along. Every year, Arty will fly both his daughter and her husband out from Denver to Omaha for the opening game.

These are just some of the pics..

Art has planned to take my kids and I to our very first football game but if truth be known, I’d rather have the money to shop...and I’m pretty sure my daughter will feel the same grin Art can go with my son cheering and get him some popcorn popcorn and burger hotdogs! laugh

RE: The Pressure Cooker

Fay applause

I first heard about IP more than a year ago. An acquaintance was using it and posted pics of the dishes she made....almost on a daily basis roll eyes grin

I then saw a posting on the FB group I joined ‘Malaysians abroad’ and I noticed one thing. Most of the Malaysians abroad that are using IP reside in the US and I truly wonder why is that so? Has the IP fever not caught on in other countries?

Anyhow, I saved this posting from somewhere last year.

RE: Curious as to Your response

Think I’ll just be a school janitor grin

MiMi hasn’t got the brains or education to be a teacher anyhow laugh

RE: Curious as to Your response

I think students nowadays tend to be more aggressive.

Not easy to be a teacher/educator sigh help

RE: Curious as to Your response

Molly

What if it was the student who strike first? Can the teacher hit her back then? In self-defence?

RE: Curious as to Your response

Parents are failing miserably in their job and responsibilities in raising their kid well.

How could they expect teachers at school to discipline their child? A teacher that has to handle a class of what? 30...40 students?? Also, the teacher only spent like what? An hour or less with your child?

When my kids were young, I was aware of all these and took it upon myself to discipline them at home so that they’d not be a burden to the teachers and a menace to the society when they grow up.
