As for Art and MiMi’s relationship, one of the way to make it work is Arty bringing his MiMi to Goodwill ( thrift shop ) at least once every 2 weeks!!!


Thank God not for the United States Marines but the Goodwill stores!!


P.S Art’s sisters are amazed that their brother is not only allowing the MiMi to shop at Goodwill but to wait for her there while she shops!!

My son must make full use of the opportunity given to him.

When he gets his green card ( still in process ), he’d serve the Army National Guard. By serving the Army National Guard, he’d get his tuition fees paid. He’d then go to college, study real hard and make good money. Then them gals will come, naturally and only then he can start dating!

MiMi went out with some new found Malaysian friends here in Omaha.

MiMi also went out with Art’s sisters. One older sister who’s in her 70’s and two younger sisters who are in their mid 60’s. We had so much fun and laughter, I like his sisters very much.

MiMi and son had their first American cookout last Labor Day weekend. It was nice but Art’s sister and niece were trying to set my 20 year-old son with a 25 year-old nurse! I was like My son has other more important priorities and won’t be dating until he’s 40. Thank you very much!

He’s looking after me very well

Few of my girlfriends have offered to send me things but I declined coz it’s absurd to even think of the freight/postage charges

There are few Asian markets here but them prices are exorbitant and not the things I’m used to back home.

When I go back to Malaysia for a holiday next summer, I’d haul back the whole grocery shop when it’s time to get back to Omaha!

MiMi is not homesick but foodsick

MiMi wants her usual spicy noodles for breakfast. Indian curry rice for lunch. Fried sweet potato or banana for tea-time. Chicken rice for dinner and perhaps an Indian pancake for supper!!
