Right. I said this before. The police were called because someone reported he was passing the fake $20. Where is the bill? It's evidence in a murder case. No fake bill... no case.
Soap & water isn't practical when leaving a clients house. That's what the alcohol is for. I was lucky to find some 71% in Walmart. If you recall, hand sanitizer was nowhere to be found and only substitutes are appearing on the retailers shelves.
One industrial chemical company Zep is selling ethanol alcohol spray mixed with glycerine. We have a few bottles in the office to wipe down furniture and countertops in the showroom. Ethanol has a sweet scent and the product doesn't need any fragrance.
Batteries should always be removed from devices if they are seldom used.
Your comment is so cool and funny (to you of course) but in your zeal to be funny you missed the finer part of my blog. I'll go slow so you don't miss anything.
Smoke alarm with flashing LED to show the condition of the batteries. New pack of batteries that are advertised to hold their charge for 10 years. Installed and checked every month or so by pressing the test button on the device. Normal maintenance and I'll replace batteries on safety devices but the batteries (see photo) failed in less than a year. The photo was taken more than a year ago and you can see the shelf life date on the batteries is November 2026. 2 of the 3 batteries failed.
Visual inspection doesn't always work as batteries in a wireless transmitter that gets checked every month had started leaking. One of the four failed. Unlike the smoke alarm, the battery tray in the transmitter is replaceable so all is not lost.
Jim, I've heard that reference to a strong alcoholic drink.
LaFonda, my ex-wife's family all went to white hair at an early age. For years, I colored it for her. White roots were getting the best of her and she decided to 'give up the ghost' about 10 years ago.
Bearwoman, In my sales presentations, I'll point to my grey and say "I had brown hair when I started in this business."
LaFonda, I steam my vegetable and don't eat them raw. An actress reported that she got Covid-19 from eating romaine lettuce.
We have a bamboo steamer for vegetables and lettuce gets thoroughly washed and rinsed. Sometimes, it's cooked and added to the meal.
More than a year ago there were issues with tainted Romaine lettuce due to a toxic strain of E. coli bacteria. I haven't seen anything recent. Hopefully, we're done with that problem.
Fay, something with a peel should be fine to wash with diluted dishwashing liquid. It's the berries and tomatoes that could have residue. Most dishwashing liquid has color and fragrance in their formula.
That reminds me of the story where the kids in a family never liked their moms cooking. It was later discovered she didn't rinse the soapy dishes, but rather placed them in the rack to dry. I always thought that was BS as dishes that weren't rinsed would have a visible film or residue.
I've read a 20% mixture of white vinegar with water is suitable for vegetables that can be applied with a spray bottle and easily rinsed leaving no residue.
We've grown tomatoes at my Miami house for 2 seasons. It was easier buying from the Farmer's Market. My new place has a screened patio with a southern view. We'll try growing tomatoes in buckets this time.
Pretty scary that 100% of the workers are infected. Depending on where we shop, some of the berries are grown locally, but there's no assurance that they aren't infected too.
Mercedes, I once used masking tape to hold a hem on jeans. The rule for that is to remove the tape as soon as you can as masking tape will stick to fabric like gum to a sweater!
RE: Birthday coming up soon!
Masks optional?
