Agreed, the power has to come from somewhere. It could be argued either way... Should it be from several thousand cars in a city burning gas or one power plant 50 miles away with huge generators that already power the city?
I live in a second floor condo with a reserved parking space visible across a courtyard. Thinking about the obstacle to get a 150 feet of electrical cord to charge a vehicle isn't possible. It would take several 'influential' residents to propose charging stations at the end of each building.
I ran a cord to vacuum my car once and surprised someone didn't complain. The next time I did it was with a battery powered vacuum system.
Battery power in the right environment is awesome. Ask anyone who drives a Tesla.
gone... around here there are several community transportation services for the elderly. Free bus rides that run several times per hour. They pass hospitals, medical centers, shopping, etc. Also available, Uber and Lyft for those without cars.
My nephew lived in downtown Miami for a while and would rent e-cars per hour to get around.
Not every big city is like this but I foresee more ride sharing and 'pay as you go' transportation in the years to come.
BW, I have 2 computers running W7 and my virus protection is subscription. But... 2 others are on W10 because the design software I use in business no longer runs on W7. No choice with specialized programs.
Something to consider... On a quick glance, if you have a computer more than 5 years old you would be better off not doing the upgrade as some older hardware may not be supported.
My brother went to college with some guys from the South and they liked to sing "There's a bathroom on the right" in place of "There's a bad moon on the rise" on the Creedence Clearwater Revival song.
Bentlee, people who spend too much time going around making negative comments over-and-over to blogs of members they dislike should seek medical advice.

I thought the weather service made a mistake on Fred's disappearance as radar showed several bands of rains a few hundred miles out of the center of the storm as it passed over Cuba.
I was right. By morning, Fred was reactivated and headed toward Alabama.
Fred is directly over Havana tonight with a curve away from Florida and into the Gulf of Mexico. You folks in Alabama get ready for lots of rain by Monday.
Some outer bands of rain came through here about 7pm. An upper level of clouds were moving quickly and the thunder sounded very different than a normal storm. More like cracking than rumble.
"I can only conclude that the site owners accept that their site is being hijacked for the purpose of disseminating misinformation regardless of the consequences."
No different to the sites I've noticed in the past, it's overwhelming to monitor all the activity of less than 50 people who participate in blogs and forums on a regular basis. Acceptance?
SLAPP...
