Ginger Baker, drummer for the British super group Cream, often clashed with bassist/singer Jack Bruce and is said to be responsible (in part) for the breakup of the group. After Cream, Baker played for Blind Faith and his own Ginger Baker's Air Force.
He went into seclusion for more than a decade and was belligerent to anyone who sought him out for interviews. It was my understanding that he wasn't credited as one of the artists of the songs he recorded, so he didn't receive royalties from the record sales. His only income was from concert and paid performances. After there were no gigs to perform he became a grouchy old man running out of money.
Who are you betting? Beethoven was the keyboardist for The Yes Group, prior to Rick Wakeman. I thought he was really good, but they had to replace him because he wanted harpsichord in every arrangement.
teddy, the inspiration for this blog was a negative comment to of my last blog by blue during the night (my time) and I allowed the comment to remain. That blog disappeared. Was it something he said?
His complaint was that I blog often only to see my comments appear on the front page. What I found funny was a month ago he supported the blog often idea with "Hell yeah!"
In fact, I don't 'pump' my blogs with comments to bring them to the top.
Mentioned a few times... another site had blogs only come to the top of the list ONLY when another member commented. The bad part of that is some members created sock profiles to boost their blogs and bring them to the top.
While you appear not to care for rules, it's in place to keep things from becoming a free-for-all.
As a matter of perspective, there are signs at the pool stating not to urinate in the pool... some people don't want to be bothered to get out and use the facilities.
Around 1967, former Yardbirds guitarist Jeff Beck formed The Jeff Beck Group with Rod Stewart on vocals, Ronnie Wood on bass and a list of drummers but mostly Ansley Dunbar then Cozy Powell. His album TRUTH was amazing as all my musician friends played those records until the grooves turned to dust! I read in a few places that Beck was one of the most difficult people to get along with., treating his band mates like hired hands. He's having steak dinners and they are eating hard-boiled eggs.
Stewart and Wood join The Faces (formally The Small Faces) achieving limited success and after, Stewart goes solo becoming a major success while Wood joins The Rolling Stones... leaving Beck in his solo world with player after player, probably because no one really wanted to tolerate his BS.
Fantastic guitarist, limited appeal as a person.
Over the years, he's played with greats like Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton, but all around him had soaring careers, while Beck was stuck in the mud.
Stewart was nice enough to record a few songs with Beck, keeping him from obscurity.
Comments were limited to 100 per day on another site. 100 sounds like a lot. They probably made the decision when a member (or members) flooded the forums.
I like the song(s) but I don't care for the artist(s)
