To those of you who said the House January 6 Committee is a joke, a dog & pony show, a farce, I ask what 'Presidential things' did Trump actually do during the siege?
Blaming Pelosi for not calling out the 10,000 (or was it 20,000) National Guard story has been debunked several times.
Not I, it was the State of New York finding sufficient evidence to file charges.
Tax evasion is a crime. He signed the checks.
My question to you (and others) is how much more evidence is needed to change your mind about him. Should he go to prison, pay fines or negotiate some confinement for his guilt doesn't appear to be enough... does it. Still willing to follow?
Against advice, Trump announces he's running for president in 2024 at a big party at Mar-a-Lago. That was a few weeks ago and the announcement appears to be clouded by the Trump Organization lawsuit and the January 6 committee determination. Many Republicans are with him, but the Republican party isn't. This man could bee teetering on prison for the things he's done to America. Don't worry, that won't stop Donald... he's talked about a 3rd party before and it sounds like he's talking about it again on his TRUTH social media platform. It's big talk in some circles... Trump leaving the GOP has disrupted their vote.
ABC White House correspondent Jonathan Karl wrote in his book “Betrayal: The Final Act of the Trump Show” that Trump once told Republican National Committee chair Ronna McDaniel that he was “done” with the GOP and was starting his own party.
McDaniel reportedly warned him: “You cannot do that; if you do, we will lose forever.”
He responded: “Exactly — you lose forever without me. I don’t care. This is what Republicans deserve for not sticking up for me.”
Vindictive? It sure sounds like it. But.... that's the way Trump rolls with things. Burn the house down!
My insurance has a $1,000 deductible. Technically, all work requires a permit. We all know that's not practical. If I do the plumbing and it leaks, I'm totally responsible and doing plumbing work without a license has me in jeopardy.
By hiring the licensed and insured plumber, should something go wrong, I point the finger at him and his insurance pays. I've used this guy to replace a toilet 2 years ago and I've seen his truck a few times in the community. Also, He's got the tools and the parts handy. I have to schlep to Home Depot a few times for a torch, flux, solder, shutoff valves, pipe fittings, etc.
Right now, I need the hot and cold capped off and the drain cut. He will be here tomorrow morning at 7:30 to do that part. Later in the morning, I'll install the new sink cabinet and he will need to return to do a temporary connect of the old sink.
I'm doing a stone top (hopefully) and that's 3 weeks to get. When the new top arrives, I'll have him connect the new sink and new disposal.
That would complete phase one of a kitchen renovation.
I have a backup plan on the countertop. 2 years ago I was gifted a mica top that was extra and stacked in the warehouse. It's in the living room behind furniture. Should the stone top cost too much, I'll have the mica top cut and installed. That way I can finish the project in a few days and probably save $2,000.
Hopefully you wore proper respirators when you did all that construction work. Inhalation of construction dust could have some serious respiratory trouble years later.
If it were my house I'd do the plumbing and electrical. The condo liability is different, so I'm using a licensed plumber. The change is moving the sink to one side by 10 inches and going from a double sink to a large single sink. The electric is for the dishwasher and disposal, no relocation. Sounds simple, it's the liability should it spring a leak and flood my apartment and my neighbor below!
With limited time, I'm trying to do a kitchen renovation so it's 70 right now and I'm in a short sleeve shirt. Raining outside and 2 trips to Home Depot with a hoodie.
To downsize into a condo, 3 years ago I sold most of my tools. Air tank, compressor and spray guns are all gone. I do have a shop-vac with crevice tool. That's in my plans to use it today.

Saul Hudson aka Slash from Guns N Roses fame teetering the fine line between collector or hoarder. He's played many of his instruments in recordings and live performances. I'll call him a collector then! Many guitars in his collection are Gibson Les Paul custom shop models including some replicas.
Agreed. I've been known to binge watch several episodes at a time and agree it's entirely staged. Notice how their 'called in experts' appear to arrive within seconds. Yes, they stop the cameras, but it just appears scripted, especially the interviews with the sellers after the transaction is completed.
I distrust the documentation about that guitar. Today I saw another video of a white Stratocaster at auction claiming to be Jimi's and it sold for $180,000. I don't know how long ago the auction was. It's was on a Fender Stratocaster video. Here's what I think: The guitar was strung right-handed. Don't come to me and say it was played by Hendrix. If Hendrix actually played it, he would need the strap button on the top side (when held left-handed) I stopped the video when it was removed from the case and there wasn't a hole where Hendrix would have moved the strap button. Hendrix always removed the plastic cover on the back to access the springs on the vibrato system. That cover was intact. Lastly... chips in the paint on the back (from a belt buckle) were created by a right-handed player and not someone who used it left-handed.
I'm left-handed and noticed these things right away.
For the reasons stated, documentation or not, I don't believe Hendrix really owned/played that guitar.
Your weekly dose of Donald... After Christmas clearance.
