Agreed. Of the 5 in the Tyre Nichols, I read one of the cops had the sound turned off and I believe another intentionally covered his cam.
It's not a perfect system and I think this may give rise to newer inventions like a built-in recorder to the radio that cannot be turned off. Mini cam embedded in the bullet proof vest. No vest... no cam. Fix that!
All disappeared yesterday and 6 new ones arrived this morning, making the number of new female members from Nairobi, Kenya exceeding all other new members combined.
That's a whole different market, isn't it? The cost of replacing a Tesla battery is high. Most people I've known to have one do a lease so the problem becomes someone else's.
Similar situation but not exactly what you are asking for. I was 55ish and met someone on a dating site who was 30ish. We passed a few messages and other than her pretty looks, there wasn't a lot of interest due to her age. She was less than 100 miles away and sometimes came to my city to spend the weekend with her girlfriend. Friday afternoon, I picked her up at the station and we went to dinner. She said she liked me and wanted to spend the night. During the meal, her phone rang and it was her husband checking up on her. The story of 'going through a divorce' most likely was a lie... I figured she was looking for her next meal ticket. After dinner, I dropped her off at her girlfriend's place. Sunday morning she called to ask if I would take her to the train station. I did and while waiting for the train she sat in my lap and I had my nose pressed to her silky black hair. The train arrived and I said goodbye thinking I'm lucky to have turned down her offer as the one night could have put me in a world-of-pain for both my heart and wallet. For a few years after, I would see her profile close and reopen with new photos and a new location. For a girl who had no job or money the photo backgrounds on yachts and around luxury cars was what I suspected all along.
I had business on Fort Lauderdale beach Thursday and there is only one turn lane from A1A west to the mainland. It's a long turn lane as that intersection is extremely busy and often takes several lights to make the turn, especially if the bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway is up. I'm half-way through the turn lane waiting for traffic to move, when a car on my right wants to 'nose-in' but I wouldn't let him as the intersection was already piled up. In an angry move, he pushed forward and cut off cars making an illegal turn from the wrong lane. We get those often.
On the subject of aggressive drivers... I don't tailgate and I especially dislike someone tailgating me. For safety reasons, I stay back. If the car I'm behind has a shorter stopping distance than mine... BMW, Mercedes, Porsche for example, I'll give a little extra clearance as they often jamb on the brakes making a decision on their next driving infraction.
The bad part of keeping a safe distance is 'it becomes an invitation' for someone to cut me off' thinking they have plenty of room to get in-between me and the car I'm trailing, so I have to weigh out the possibilities and risks.
Growing up in multi-cultural Miami, my answer is yes. There is a saying "Once you go black, you'll never go back" For many reasons (that I won't divulge in this blog) I disagree with that.
I do have one fond memory that happened 34 years ago. A coworker from Trinidad was here on a student visa. The money for school ran out and she was paying an immigration attorney to help change her status. The woman was much younger than me and her focus in life was very different. We almost crossed the line a few times, but it was best to keep the friendship. We both moved on from that company but only met a few times after.
On a Carnival in Miami, she met a German man who was here on vacation. They corresponded and eventually moved to Germany to be with him and marry. She kept in touch with me by letter and a few calls and I always felt she was crying out for having made a wrong decision. Not long after, they divorced. She got as far as learning German and becoming a citizen. The It's been 20 years now. No more letters, no more calls.
Julian Khater, 33, of Somerset, New Jersey, pleaded guilty last year to assaulting officers with a dangerous weapon. On Jan. 6 he attacked fallen Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick with pepper spray and was sentenced Friday to 6 years and 8 months in prison. Khater will get credit for the year and 10-plus months he has spent incarcerated so far...
Although the medical examiner found that Sicknick died the next day of natural causes, the events of the day may have contributed to his condition. As a result, Judge Thomas Hogan noted he could not sentence Khater for causing Sicknick's death.
How many people look at your profile now? Pretty simple... Put up a photo and compare the difference to see if you get more hits. If you don't like the results, delete your photo.
Dog fires rifle and kills man...
The story said the rifle belonged to the driver.I Googled to see if there was a followup to the original story, but found nothing.
Speculating, if the rifle was propped up on the floor behind the passenger... you know the rest.
