The cabinets were made from melamine particleboard. I cannot give them away. A place where I used to work has a 30 cubic yard container for dumping old cabinets taken from remodeling projects. The bad part is weekends people come by and dump their items, like sofas and mattresses. Having an empty dumpster on Friday was an invitation for trouble. I suggested they call for a pickup on Monday so it's already filled to the top all weekend and no place to add more stuff.
Goodwill, Veteran Services, Faith Farm and other places that recycle cabinets and furniture typically refuse things unless they are in really clean condition.
